Choose the Moto G57 Power for its sharper FHD+ screen, dedicated ultra-wide camera and lower price in the available listing snapshot. Choose the Redmi 17 5G for its larger stated battery, faster charging and a published software-support commitment. In an India-market price snapshot, the Moto was ₹20,999 and the Redmi was ₹23,999—a ₹3,000 difference. Those are not guaranteed current prices.

Motorola’s 1050-nit figure is for high-brightness mode; Xiaomi specifies 825 nits HBM. These manufacturer figures are not a matched independent brightness test.
Price difference: the Redmi listing was ₹3,000 higher
91mobiles’ comparison listing showed Amazon prices of ₹20,999 for the Moto G57 Power and ₹23,999 for the Redmi 17 5G when accessed in 2026. That snapshot puts the Redmi ₹3,000 above the Moto. It is not a launch-price comparison or a promise of current pricing: seller, stock, configuration, sale pricing and card offers can change the amount. Check the live listing before buying.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Moto G57 Power for a sharper screen and ultra-wide camera
The Moto’s listed FHD+ resolution gives it more pixels than the Redmi’s HD+ screen, while both displays are specified at 120Hz. It also includes a dedicated 8MP ultra-wide rear camera; Xiaomi lists a main camera and auxiliary lens, not a comparable ultra-wide. The Moto is lighter in the specifications (210.6g versus 232g) and was less expensive in the cited price snapshot.

Choose the Redmi 17 5G for battery capacity, charging and stated update years
Xiaomi lists a 7,900mAh typical battery and 45W charging, compared with the Moto’s 7,000mAh and 33W. Xiaomi also explicitly promises four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. The larger 6.9-inch display may suit buyers who want more screen area, but the listed weight is 232g.
Do not pick a winner on performance from the chip names alone
The processors have different names and core configurations, but the available sources do not establish a matched, independently run benchmark for these two phones. Clock speed alone cannot show which one feels faster in everyday use or gaming.

What the specifications do—and do not—settle
- Screen: Moto has the sharper listed resolution; Redmi has the larger panel. Neither spec alone establishes which screen looks better under every condition.
- Battery life: Redmi has the higher stated capacity and charging wattage. Capacity and charging specifications do not prove how long either phone lasts in real use; no matched battery test is established here.
- Camera quality: Moto has a specifically listed ultra-wide camera. Camera resolution and lens count do not establish real-world photo quality, and no matched camera test is available.
- Durability: Both list IP64. That rating is not an assurance of immersion protection; Xiaomi specifically warns its resistance may decline over time.
- Regional fit: The cited manufacturer specifications are India-facing. Motorola says specifications can vary by market, and Xiaomi notes that bands vary by region and operator. Verify the exact variant and carrier compatibility where you live.
