The Moto G45 5G and vivo X300 FE sit in very different price tiers in India. At launch, the G45 started at ₹10,999 in August 2024, while the X300 FE started at ₹79,999 in May 2026—a ₹69,000 difference between those historical base launch prices, not a current price comparison. The G45 favors a larger screen, expandable storage and a headphone jack; the X300 FE lists higher-end hardware, a sharper AMOLED display and more camera options.

India launch prices: the difference is historical, not current

Motorola’s India launch release, dated August 21, 2024, listed the Moto G45 5G at ₹10,999 for 4GB+128GB and ₹12,999 for 8GB+128GB. It also described a ₹1,000 launch offer on select cards or exchange. First sales were announced for August 28, 2024, through Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retailers. These are launch details, not proof of today’s price or availability. Motorola’s launch release

vivo’s India release, dated May 6, 2026, listed the X300 FE at ₹79,999 for 12GB+256GB and ₹89,999 for 12GB+512GB. Availability was announced from May 14, 2026, through Flipkart, Amazon, vivo India’s e-store and retail partners. Subtracting the base launch prices gives ₹69,000 (₹79,999 minus ₹10,999). That figure compares launches from different years and configurations, so it is not the phones’ current price gap. Check current retailer listings for the exact model and storage tier before buying.

Display: larger LCD or sharper AMOLED?

The G45 has the larger panel: a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. That may suit someone who values more screen area for reading or video. The X300 FE’s 6.31-inch AMOLED is smaller but has a listed resolution of 2640×1216, giving it the stronger resolution and panel specification on paper. Both list 120Hz.

Performance, memory and storage

The X300 FE has a more varied listed camera system: 50MP main and telephoto cameras with OIS, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 50MP autofocus front camera. vivo’s overview describes 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Megapixel counts and advertised zoom ranges do not by themselves establish image quality.

Which phone should you choose?

Choose the Moto G45 5G if

  • You want a lower-budget phone and its current price fits your budget.
  • You prefer a larger display, even though its listed panel is HD+ IPS LCD rather than AMOLED.
  • You need microSD expansion, a 3.5mm headset jack, stereo speakers or FM radio.
  • You want basic 5G hardware without paying for the X300 FE’s higher listed configuration tier.

Choose the vivo X300 FE if

  • You prioritize the listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform and higher memory/storage configurations.
  • You prefer a compact, higher-resolution AMOLED display.
  • You want dedicated telephoto and wide-angle rear cameras, OIS on the main and telephoto cameras, or the option of vivo’s separately sold telephoto extender.
  • You value the larger rated battery, faster listed wired charging, wireless charging, or higher IP ratings.

Neither set of specifications substitutes for hands-on testing. Base your choice on current local pricing, the storage configuration you need, and which features you will actually use.
