Tooth of Nochte is a sellable treasure in Mortal Shell II: its documented use is trading it to a merchant for Coins, not crafting or combat. Its current sale value is unclear—one database lists 750 Coins, while a walkthrough updated August 24, 2026 reports 2,000—so check the offer shown by a merchant in your game before deciding whether to sell.
What Tooth of Nochte is for
The item database describes Tooth of Nochte as a rare pickup and lists it for sale through a merchant’s Sell tab. A walkthrough also characterizes it as treasure sold for Coins. Neither source identifies a combat, quest-progression, or upgrade-material use.
The sale amount is disputed. The unofficial Mortal Shell II Database lists 750 Coins. A NerdsChalk walkthrough updated August 24, 2026 says the amount became 2,000 Coins after an August 20 balance update. No official patch note confirming that change is established by the available sources. Treat both amounts as reported values, not a guaranteed current price; the merchant’s displayed offer in your build is the practical check.
Tooth of Nochte locations in Fainweald
The third-party Itemaps index names pickups in these Fainweald areas. Its map covers more of Fallgrim than Fainweald, so the locations below exclude entries in other regions.

For exact map markers and coordinates, see the Itemaps Fallgrim map. It is a third-party index, not an official in-game map. Its location entries and the walkthrough’s route descriptions do not match perfectly, so neither should be treated as a complete, definitive inventory of every possible pickup.
Route clues for specific pickups
Shrine of Sorrows
The map index makes shrine completion a requirement for the listed pickup near Mushroom Village. Finish the shrine, then check the pickup marker on the map.
Desolate Keep
The walkthrough’s route begins at Sester Genessa in Marrow Keep and enters the Desolate Keep portal dungeon. It describes breaking an illusionary wall and goblet chains, choosing “Commune with Chaos,” and checking a chest after the arena. These are guide-specific directions rather than details confirmed by the map index, so use them as a route lead if the chest is not immediately apparent.
Gloomshade Grove and Sanguine Caverns
The walkthrough points players toward the Sanguine Caverns from northern Gloomshade Grove, then to the left side of a ramp near a statue. The map index separately identifies Gloomshade Grove, Ravaged Hideout, and several Sanguine Caverns entries; consult its markers to distinguish the pickups.

Other Fallgrim locations are outside Fainweald
The Itemaps index also lists Tooth of Nochte in High Lord’s Terrace in the Deserted Slums and at The Hag’s Path in the Ruins of Nochte, in a cave with Nightfish. These are additional Fallgrim entries, not Fainweald locations, so they are separate from the areas above.
Should you sell Tooth of Nochte?
If you need Coins, selling it is the only documented use. If you are unsure about the amount, inspect the merchant’s offer before confirming the sale. The cited sources do not establish a progression reason to keep the item, but they also do not settle the current price across game builds.
