The old unlimited Grisha Remnant farm in Mortal Shell II should be considered patched on builds that include the official Week 1 Update. Cold Symmetry says that update fixed a dungeon Grisha that respawned indefinitely. The patch note does not name the dungeon, so the historical Desolate Keep route is best treated as an old method—not a confirmed current farm.
What the old Desolate Keep farm involved
A September 2026 guide describes a repeatable route that used the Slayer Seal to reach Desolate Keep from Marrow Keep, defeat a dungeon Grisha for a Remnant, then leave and reset before returning. The guide’s route begins by obtaining the Slayer Seal, heading through the training area and a hidden wall, and using a chained chalice to enter Desolate Keep. Inside the dungeon, the player activates a lever to reach the Grisha.
Those steps are historical guide claims, not independently verified instructions for current builds. The same guide also describes a passive-spawn exploit at Bellkeeper’s Corner, but there is no confirmed post-update status for that approach.

Cold Symmetry’s official Week 1 Update notes say: “Fixed a Grisha that respawned indefinitely in one dungeon, astral Grishas spawning embedded in the floor, and enemies becoming stuck on geometry. (rip Grishamancer)” That directly addresses the indefinite dungeon-Grisha respawn on which the old loop depended.

- THEIR FLESH IS YOUR WEAPON: The corpses of exceptional warriors are scattered throughout Mortal Shell 2’s destroyed world. Once discovered, each warrior can be possessed, awakening their innate strengths and mastered abilities. Evolve your own style of combat by harnessing the unique abilities of each warrior and unlock their secrets through the discovery of lost memories.
- CLEANSE A RAVAGED WORLD: Mortal Shell 2’s compact open world connects over winding footpaths guarded by desperate and fanatical adversaries. Players who wander are rewarded with new warriors to possess, additional story elements, powerful and strange weaponry, upgrades, curiosities and more. Step through derelict temples of ancient deities, across forbidden forests and icy graves, into citadels carved out of bone. Scattered between these lost landmarks are more than 60 dungeons, each providing a challenging test of the talents and weaponry you have collected on your journey.
- DETHRONE FALSE GODS: You control the Harbinger, a being that must reclaim the Undermether’s stolen eggs that are now ruthlessly guarded by grotesque, dangerous creatures. Mortal Shell 2’s combat system is agile and expressive. Stamina gauges are removed, and execution options have been enhanced, delivering a kinetic and chaotic dark power fantasy. Precision meets intensity in high-stakes combat.
The cited patch note does not identify the dungeon by name. It establishes that the indefinitely respawning Grisha behavior was fixed in the update, but it does not establish the latest installed build for every platform or whether a later change altered the fix. Accordingly, do not assume the Desolate Keep loop still works—or promise that another route does.
How the two reported approaches compare
| Approach | What the historical guide claims | What is established about current status |
|---|---|---|
| Desolate Keep reset loop | Reach the dungeon from Marrow Keep with the Slayer Seal, defeat the Grisha, reset, and repeat. | The official Week 1 Update fixes an indefinitely respawning dungeon Grisha; the note does not name the dungeon. Treat the old unlimited loop as patched on builds containing that update. |
| Bellkeeper’s Corner passive spawn | The guide describes an exploit involving passive enemy spawns. | Its status after the update is not established. It is not a verified current workaround. |
What to do if you want to check your build
- Install the latest update available for your platform, then check the game’s displayed version or platform update history.
- If you already have the Slayer Seal and can access the historical route, test whether the dungeon Grisha returns after a reset. Do not infer an unlimited farm from a single respawn.
- Confirm repeatability on your own installed build before investing time in a loop or relying on a Remnant-per-minute rate; no attributable rate, drop percentage, or maximum inventory figure is established here.
The official game site lists a physical PS5 Revered Edition and says it is sold out in most territories; that availability is separate from whether the farm works. See the official edition information. The game is also listed on Steam.
