Steam lists 53 achievements for Mortal Shell II. To work toward all of them, protect four community-reported missables during your first run, track exploration and collection objectives as you go, and finish cleanup before choosing New Game+. The achievement list confirms many broad objectives, but it does not publicly show exact instructions for every achievement; check the live platform list and a current guide before one-time choices or boss fights.
What to know before you start
Mortal Shell II became available worldwide on August 20, 2026, for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, according to the developer and publisher’s Steam news. The Steam Global Achievements page lists 53 achievements. The Steam store page identifies it as a single-player game with Steam achievements.
Use the achievement list for the platform you play on: the available evidence does not establish that PlayStation and Xbox use exactly the same names or descriptions as Steam. Steam’s page also leaves some descriptions blank, so the titles alone are not enough to infer every unlock condition.

Protect the four reported missables
A community completion roadmap flags four achievements as potentially missable: Mid Summer?, Peter’s Perfect Parry, No, You Still Can’t Win, and Bag Holder. Treat these as warnings to check before passing the relevant scene, fight, or interaction—not as official developer instructions.

Mortal Shell 2’s combat system is agile and expressive. Stamina gauges are removed, and execution options have been enhanced, delivering a kinetic and chaotic dark power fantasy. Precision meets intensity in high-stakes combat.
- Mid Summer? and No, You Still Can’t Win: the roadmap associates these with the tutorial section. Check their current requirements before leaving that section.
- Peter’s Perfect Parry: the roadmap ties this to a particular Nameless Captive attack and a Perfect Guard sequence. Read the live condition before defeating the relevant boss; the Steam page does not provide the precise timing.
- Bag Holder: the roadmap warns that it depends on a specific Baghead interaction. Check the current instructions before choosing or exhausting that interaction.
These are community-reported risks, and their conditions may change with game updates. Consult the live platform entry and a current version of the roadmap before committing to a one-time action.
Track collections while you explore
Keep a checklist for Shells, weapons, sidearms, map fragments, Beacons, Ova, Tarstones, and Shell Memories. Mark each item when you collect or complete it, and note its region or nearest Beacon. The Steam list confirms set-completion objectives in several of these areas; the community checklist provides suggested groupings and counts, but those counts should be checked against the in-game tracker.
Read boss conditions before the fight
Before defeating a boss, check the live achievement description for any encounter-specific objective. This is especially important for Peter’s Perfect Parry: the community roadmap describes a specific attack and guard sequence, but the official Steam entry does not establish the exact steps or whether a retry is possible.

Do ordinary cleanup before New Game+
The community roadmap advises finishing free-roam cleanup before starting New Game+. It says free roam remains available after the final boss and before the New Game+ transition, but this is patch-sensitive community guidance. Check the current build and read the transition prompt carefully before proceeding.

Verify each unlock
After completing an objective, check that it registered in your platform’s achievement list and update your checklist. Steam displays global unlock percentages, but those are live completion figures, not difficulty ratings or proof that a particular route works.
What the 53 Steam achievements cover
The Steam list includes progression, combat, equipment, exploration, collectibles, and full-completion objectives. Its visible descriptions include reaching Marrowkeep, entering the Festival, claiming a first Shell, weapon, and sidearm, unlocking named equipment, and maxing a weapon at the Tarforge. Other set-completion objectives include finding all map fragments; unlocking all weapons, Shells, and sidearms; collecting all Ova; cleansing all Beacons; playing all Lute Tracks; finding all Tarstones; watching all Shell Memories; completing the game; and unlocking every achievement. Check the live list for each objective’s exact wording.

An independent achievement checklist gives these collection totals. They are guide claims, not counts established by the official Steam descriptions in the available evidence. Compare them with the current in-game tracker before using them as definitive targets.
