The Hall of Murmurs is reached from the Castigator’s Keep Beacon, through a courtyard descent and an elevator below the keep. A route guide reports two Coin pouches worth 750 Coins total and a Laterite pickup that triggers a Foul Knight fight. Spoilers: taking the Laterite awakens the kneeling figure in the fireplace chamber.
Where is the Hall of Murmurs entrance?
Use the Beacon at Castigator’s Keep as your landmark. An unofficial route guide places the Hall beneath the keep in the Outskirts of Mammon, south or southwest of the Beacon. From the courtyard, find the pit or stone stairs leading underground. An interactive map instead labels the Hall an interior in The Unfound Path, so published sources do not agree on its regional label. How do you complete the route?
- From the Castigator’s Keep Beacon, cross the courtyard and descend through the pit or stone stairs.
- Follow the underground corridor. When it appears to end, check the right side for a lever.
- Activate the lever to raise the elevator, then ride it down.
- Clear the next room and break through the wooden door to reach the fireplace chamber.

The MS II Wiki route guide reports two Coin pouches: 500 Coins on a caged box near the entrance and 250 Coins behind it. That is 750 Coins total according to the guide. It also places a Laterite in the fireplace. An unofficial database separately lists two Coin pouches and one forge material, but the accessible page text does not give the pouch values. What happens when you take the Laterite?
Taking the Laterite triggers the kneeling figure nearby to become a Foul Knight. Defeat it to collect Gloom; the guide identifies the drop but does not establish its amount. The encounter is tied to the pickup, so be prepared before taking the material. MS II Wiki
Is there a hidden Coin stash?
One unofficial guide reports a pale-marked false wall on the canyon’s right side before the shack, with an extra stash estimated at about 700 Coins. The MS II Wiki route guide says there is no extra reward route beyond the two pouches, Laterite, and the Foul Knight’s Gloom. Is Egon part of the Hall of Murmurs?
No. Egon is described as an NPC in the central tower of Castigator’s Keep, separate from the Hall. Clearing the dungeon does not complete Egon’s interaction, and Coins found in the Hall are distinct from Gloom. MS II Wiki
