To unlock Gragu’s Shell in Mortal Shell 2, find the Heart of Vatra at the Temple of Vatra, then take it back to Gragu at the One-Legged Wolf Tavern in Fainweald. The Heart is a quest item: its reported purpose is the hand-in, not an equippable upgrade or a consumable you use for a direct benefit.
Where to find Gragu
Gragu is reported inside the One-Legged Wolf Tavern in Fainweald, near the One-Legged Wolf Beacon. Speak with him until he asks you to bring him the Heart of Vatra. The available guides do not establish a fixed number of dialogue interactions, so keep talking until the request is made.

How to get the Heart of Vatra
- Leave the tavern eastward. Cross the bridges and follow the route toward the Temple of Vatra. Guide descriptions refer to the crossing as either a Bone Gate or a Traverse Gate.
- Climb through the temple. Continue toward its upper area until you reach a corrupted statue kneeling with the Heart in its hands.
- Interact with the Heart. Nearby petrified enemies are reported to awaken when you take it, so be prepared to fight rather than assuming the pickup is safe.
- Choose whether to collect optional loot. The temple reportedly has a chest containing Berserker’s Stone, unlocked by lighting three candle offerings. If you want it, explore and light the candles before taking the Heart: guides warn the route can change after pickup, and access may depend on the route state or game build.
Walkthroughs differ on the exact way back after the enemies awaken. Check the local exit and your surroundings instead of relying on one promised escape route.
How to unlock Gragu’s Shell
Return to the One-Legged Wolf Tavern and give Gragu the Heart. Guides report that the hand-in ends with Gragu’s death in the scene and makes his remains available to inhabit. Interact with those remains to gain Gragu’s Shell.

Guide descriptions characterize Staggering Blow as a heavy punch that can be charged; a longer charge increases its damage and stagger pressure. The trade-off is time spent charging, so use it when you have a safe opening rather than assuming every attack window will allow a full charge.
Revered Heart
Gragu’s Revered Heart is reported as a limited healing resource replenished by killing enemies.
