Unyielding Stone is north of the Deserted Mine. To earn it, activate the stone circle’s central pillar, defeat the enemies it summons, then interact with the pillar again. The Combat Tarstone grants stagger immunity during weapon light-attack combos, with upgrades extending which attacks in the combo are protected.
Where to find Unyielding Stone
Look for a stone circle north of the Deserted Mine dungeon. A second guide places it northeast of the Mushroom Village beacon, but the Deserted Mine is the main route landmark.
How to get Unyielding Stone
- Travel to the stone circle north of the Deserted Mine.
- Interact with the central pillar to begin the world trial.
- Defeat all enemies summoned by the pillar.
- When the arena is clear, interact with the pillar again to claim Unyielding Stone.
It is a trial reward, not a chest pickup or vendor purchase.

What Unyielding Stone does
Unyielding Stone provides stagger immunity during weapon light-attack combos. It does not make the character immune to damage. The effect may help players keep a light-attack string going when an enemy would otherwise stagger them.

Unyielding Stone vs. Unwieldy Stone
These are separate Tarstones. Unyielding Stone is earned by completing the stone-circle trial. Unwieldy Stone is a different Tarstone described as being sold by Merrick in Marrow Keep. Be careful to distinguish the similar names when searching or planning a route.
