The Mortal Shell II Devout Edition includes the full game and an upgrade that grants the Obsidian skin set for all eight playable Shells. To use the skins, first confirm the Devout upgrade is attached to the account that owns the game, then look in the game’s current Shell or appearance customization menus. The official listings confirm the reward, but do not document an exact unlock or equip sequence.
What rewards are in the Mortal Shell 2 Devout Edition?
PlayStation Store describes Devout Edition as the full game plus the Mortal Shell II Devout Edition Upgrade. The upgrade’s listed content is the Obsidian skin set for all eight playable Shells. The official game site likewise says the set transforms all eight Shells, but does not name them or specify individual skin variants. PlayStation Store: Devout Edition · Mortal Shell II official site
The reward is cosmetic: the available listings identify skins, not additional Shells or gameplay abilities. Mortal Shell II is described by its official site as an interconnected, compact open world with stamina-free combat, but those game features are separate from the Devout cosmetic entitlement.
How do I use the Devout Edition skins?
The official pages confirm what the upgrade grants, but do not publish a claim button, unlock trigger, or precise menu route. Use these checks without assuming a particular interface:

- Confirm ownership: Sign in to the same platform account used to buy Devout Edition and check the store listing or account content library for the game and Devout Edition Upgrade.
- Check availability: Make sure the upgrade is shown as owned and available to the account playing the game. If the platform indicates that content still needs to be installed or downloaded, follow its current prompts.
- Inspect customization: In-game, look through the current Shell or appearance customization menus for the Obsidian skins. The official sources do not confirm a specific path or whether an additional in-game action is required.
- Escalate missing content: If the upgrade is attached to the correct account but the skins do not appear, check the platform’s entitlement page and contact the publisher through its current support channel. Do not assume that a particular restore, restart, or unlock procedure is guaranteed.

Is Devout Edition the physical collector’s edition?
No. The official site describes Revered Edition as a separate PS5 physical collector’s edition that includes a physical artbook, steelcase, fine art prints, and digital extras. The site says Revered Edition is sold out in most territories; stock may differ by location. Those physical items are not the Devout Edition’s Obsidian skin reward. Mortal Shell II official site
