Corroded Stone is in a white stone chest at the end of the Sunken Village Beacon route, inside Wortbriar Encampment in Glutted Mire. It is a Combat Tarstone that adds damage-over-time ticks to projectile hits. To reach the chest, cleanse the Sunken Village Beacon, cross the encampment, break three energy pillars, and continue through the cavern past the large worm.
Where to find Corroded Stone
The reported pickup is inside the Sunken Village Beacon instance, not simply out in the open Glutted Mire. From Mushroom Village Gate, cleanse the beacon and pass through the Corrupted Gate toward Sunken Village. Continue to the Sunken Village Beacon and choose Cleanse Beacon to enter Wortbriar Encampment. The route and chest location are described in the NerdsChalk item guide.
How to reach the chest
- Enter Wortbriar Encampment: At the Sunken Village Beacon, select Cleanse Beacon.
- Cross the upper encampment: Follow its wooden platforms and walkways. The guide says you can run past intervening guards.
- Open the lower route: Break all three glowing energy pillars. The guide does not indicate that these pillars can be skipped.
- Descend into the cavern: Continue into the candle-lit area and deal with or pass the large worm.
- Open the chest: The white stone chest beyond the worm contains Corroded Stone.
An interactive map page labels its embedded routes as Open Beta material and cautions that its markers do not represent a complete retail-client map. Use the named landmarks and route above rather than treating a beta marker as a precise current coordinate: MortalShell2.org interactive map.
What Corroded Stone does
Corroded Stone is a Combat Tarstone. Its reported effect is to make projectile hits deal damage over time after impact. The database lists a 30-second effect with ticks every seven seconds, but its level labels conflict with another guide. The Mortal Shell 2 Database entry assigns the following percentages to Levels 1–3:

NerdsChalk reports the same percentage tiers and timing, but calls them Levels 2, 3, and 4 after a generic Level 1 effect. The damage figures and duration are therefore guide-reported, not settled level numbering; check the current in-game item screen before relying on a particular tier.
How to upgrade Corroded Stone
Tarstones are upgraded at the Tarforge. The guides describe unlocking it with Etching Needles found in Glutted Mire, then giving the needles to Franz in Marrow Keep. Once available, the Tarforge uses Tarstone experience and Coin for upgrades. PowerPyx’s Tarforge upgrade guide also identifies Etching Needles as the unlock item and places them in Glutted Mire after the Sunken Village Beacon; confirm the precise position in your current game.

Other reported ways to obtain it
The database says Corroded Stone can roll for every sidearm, be offered by Naylshotte or Salvaged Trebuchaxe, appear in a chest, or be rolled at the Tarforge. These are database-reported alternate avenues; the item-specific guide describes the Wortbriar Encampment chest as its pickup route. Availability may depend on the current game build.

What is confirmed about the current build
The official Mortal Shell II patch notes document post-launch changes involving gameplay, weapons, progression, and Tarstones. They do not specifically confirm Corroded Stone’s location, level numbering, or damage values. Treat the detailed route and mechanics above as third-party guide information rather than official confirmation for the latest retail build.
