A practical recommended route is Tar Golem (tutorial) → Magdalena → The Lost Child → The Nameless Captive → Droeg → Hexapod → Sir Isaac → Malborn Offspring → The Monolith → Orrem → Zmey. Treat this as a suggested sequence, not a fixed progression requirement: the six Corrupted Gate bosses can be tackled in different orders.
Recommended boss order
This 11-fight route follows an independent guide’s ordering. Tar Golem is the opening tutorial encounter; the remaining fights are grouped by campaign area or progression stage.

Why boss counts and lists differ
Tar Golem may be counted separately
One independent route guide counts 11 main-route fights with Tar Golem included. An unofficial player-companion directory instead lists 10 campaign major bosses and places Tar Golem in a separate tutorial category. The difference is a counting convention, not evidence of an extra campaign boss.
Gate-boss order is flexible
The first six campaign bosses are the Corrupted Gate group. Guides differ on their recommended order: one places Droeg before Hexapod and Sir Isaac, while another suggests Hexapod and Sir Isaac before Droeg. Both describe the overworld order as flexible, so these sequences are route suggestions rather than a universal mandatory order.
#1 Best Overall
- Mortal Shell – A ruthless and deep action-RPG that tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world
- Possess Lost Warriors – The lost remains of defeated warriors are yours to discover. Awaken these Mortal Shells, occupy their bodies and significantly open your understanding to diverse masteries of combat
- Face Formidable Foes – Your path is guarded by adversaries, devoted to inscrutable gods. Behold creatures both pitiable and grotesque and muster your courage and face them down
- Iron Sharpens Iron – Combat is strategic, deliberate, and unforgiving. Commit your sword only when an opportunity opens
The later guardians also have differing suggested orders
The 11-fight route puts Malborn Offspring, The Monolith, and Orrem before Zmey. The directory confirms those three as the Unfound Path guardians but does not prescribe their sequence; it lists Orrem, The Monolith, and Malborn Offspring in a different order.
Scope: campaign route versus every named encounter
This list covers a recommended main route, not every named enemy or miniboss mentioned in unofficial roster material. The broader roster source is an unofficial wiki, and its Open Beta client roster does not establish the retail game’s full route or mechanics. Accordingly, “all bosses” here means the tutorial encounter plus the campaign major-boss route described above—not a verified exhaustive list of every optional encounter.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Names and fight details
One source spells Droeg’s surname “Conquerer,” while the route guide uses “Conqueror.” The table follows the latter spelling; check the in-game name if exact localization matters. Boss health, damage, and attack timing can change with balance updates, and the available route sources do not establish current platform-specific tuning. The order above is therefore more durable than any unverified claim about present-day difficulty or tactics.
What is established about the order
Playstack and Cold Symmetry’s official Mortal Shell II site describes an interconnected open world and free exploration, but it does not publish a canonical boss roster or mandatory order. The exact sequence here comes from independent guides, while the 10-boss count comes from an unofficial directory. Those sources support a useful route, not a single official answer to how every player must progress.
