If you want to make wired IEMs wireless, MOONDROP EVO 2 is an ear-hook DAC/amp module that connects to compatible earphones and a Bluetooth source. The earphones are not included, and connector fit is the first thing to check. Codec support also depends on both the EVO 2 and your phone, computer, or other source.
What MOONDROP EVO 2 does
EVO 2 replaces a conventional cable connection with Bluetooth ear-hooks that attach to compatible wired earphones. MOONDROP describes it as a true-wireless ear-hook DAC/amp module; AV Watch likewise reports that the earphone connection section can be changed between FitEar and MMCX connectors. This is an adapter, not a complete IEM set. MOONDROP’s announcement and the AV Watch launch report describe its role and launch.
Check connector compatibility before buying
The EVO 2 listing identifies replaceable FitEar and MMCX connectors. Confirm the connection on your specific IEM and verify that the EVO 2 version you are ordering includes or supports that connector. A connector that looks similar is not proof of compatibility.
Recommended Free Tools
Do not assume the first-generation MOONDROP EVO has the same connector arrangement: its official product page specifies a universal 0.78 mm 2-pin port. The first-generation product also lists a different codec set. Check the EVO 2 listing and the first-generation EVO page for the respective details.

Match the wireless features to your source
Codecs depend on both devices
Linsoul lists Bluetooth 6.0 and SBC, AAC, LHDC, LDAC, and LC3 support for EVO 2. MOONDROP says LHDC-V (LHDC 5.0) supports up to 24-bit/192 kHz and LDAC up to 24-bit/96 kHz. These are manufacturer-listed capabilities, not a guarantee that a particular listening session will use those formats: the phone, computer, or other Bluetooth source must support the codec too. When the devices do not share a codec, the connection uses one they have in common.
LC3 has an extra setup caveat
According to e☆イヤホン’s product notes, LC3 requires a compatible LE Audio source. It uses a separate pairing entry marked “LEA” and is disabled by default. The notes also say the companion app cannot be used while connected through that LEA entry. Check your source’s LE Audio support and consider whether that app limitation matters to you before choosing LC3. e☆イヤホン’s EVO 2 listing describes these pairing details.

What the published battery, latency, and EQ figures mean
Battery life is a manufacturer test result
MOONDROP claims up to 15 hours of playback from the ear-hooks and about three additional charges, or 45 hours, from the case. The announcement attributes this result to a MOONDROP R&D Center measurement in 2026: the ear-hooks and case were fully charged, AAC was used at 50% volume, and ordinary music played continuously. Treat it as a stated test result under those conditions, not an independently verified expectation for every codec, volume, or use pattern.

Game mode latency is based on a chip specification
MOONDROP lists 60 ms for game mode and says the figure is based on the chip specification. It is not an independent end-to-end measurement across different phones, games, and wireless conditions, so it does not establish the delay you will experience in a particular setup.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

DSP and other listed features
MOONDROP describes a second-generation interactive DSP with a 10-band parametric EQ, a frequency-response database, one-touch tuning to cloud targets, and sharing or downloading settings. Linsoul additionally lists USB-C, an approximately two-hour charging time, roughly 10 m of range in an open environment, dual-microphone beamforming ENC, and daily-life water resistance for the ear-hooks. It describes the case as crush-proof and water-resistant. Those retailer-listed descriptions do not establish waterproofing or suitability for rugged use.
How EVO 2 differs from the first-generation design
MOONDROP says the original EVO paired a Bluetooth system-on-chip with a conventional Hi-Fi DAC/headphone amplifier, a design it says limited battery life. For EVO 2, the company describes using a Class-D digital amplifier IC intended for small speakers alongside its custom TWS-01 Bluetooth SoC, with the aim of delivering high output at lower power consumption. These are the manufacturer’s design claims; the available product information does not provide independent bench measurements establishing output or efficiency.

- Identify your IEM connector. Confirm whether it is FitEar, MMCX, or another connection, then verify the exact EVO 2 connector version and what is included.
- Check your source’s Bluetooth support. Match its codecs to the EVO 2’s listed codecs; for LC3, confirm LE Audio support and account for the separate “LEA” pairing and app limitation.
- Decide which specifications matter. Battery claims depend on the stated AAC test conditions; the 60 ms game-mode figure is chip-spec based. Neither is an independent test of your setup.
- Review practical fit and purchase terms. Consider ear-hook bulk and fit for your use, then confirm regional price, stock, warranty, and return terms with the seller.
The available listings do not provide controlled comparative testing, an independent battery test, or user-survey results. Published specifications alone therefore do not establish that EVO 2 outperforms other wireless adapters.
