The PlayStation listing says that Awards earned in the Prologue Demo can be carried over when you transfer the save. The Xbox listing uses equivalent language for achievements. This confirms that earned platform-recognized rewards are part of the transfer behavior, subject to the qualification about trophy and achievement conditions described below.

Do not treat an online checklist of those fields as an official guarantee unless Capcom or the relevant platform listing publishes it. The safe description is “the demo save transfers,” with Awards or achievements explicitly covered; the exact contents of every progression field are not stated.
How far the Prologue Demo goes
The demo starts with the game’s prologue and continues through the “To the Forest” mission. That endpoint matters when you decide whether to keep playing before buying the full game: anything beyond that mission belongs to the full release, not to the demo’s stated playable section.
You do not need to reach “To the Forest,” or any other endpoint, to make the save eligible for transfer. If you have only created a character, played part of the opening, or stopped before the final demo mission, the official PlayStation wording still says that completion is unnecessary.

How to transfer the save
The listings establish the availability of a transfer function but do not publish a universal menu path or a screenshot of the prompt. Use the following sequence as a safe workflow, following the exact wording shown by your platform and game build.
- Leave the demo save on the platform where you played it. The official statements concern transfer from the Prologue Demo to the full version on the listed platform. They do not establish cross-platform or cross-account migration.
- Install and start the full version. Look for the demo-save transfer or import choice during first-time setup or when the game checks for existing demo data. The label can differ between PlayStation and Xbox versions.
- Select the demo save and confirm the transfer. Read the confirmation screen before accepting it, particularly if the game warns that a new full-game save will be created.
- Continue into the full game and check the result. Verify that the expected starting state and any earned Awards or achievements appear. The official listings do not provide a separate inventory checklist, so use the in-game save and reward displays rather than assuming that every individual item is guaranteed.
If the game never presents an import choice, first check whether full-game save data already exists. On PlayStation, that condition explicitly disables demo transfer. Do not create a new full-game save while trying to preserve access to the transfer prompt.
Why the transfer option may be missing

This is the one specific blocking condition named by the official material. The PlayStation Store listing says that you cannot transfer the demo save if save data for the full version already exists. The transfer system therefore is not described as a merge tool for two independent campaigns.

If you have already started the full game, the published information does not document a supported merge, overwrite, or recovery procedure. Avoid deleting saved data unless you have confirmed the consequences for your platform and are willing to lose that progress; the store listing itself does not promise that deleting a file will restore the transfer option.

The listings confirm the demo-to-full-game relationship on PlayStation and Xbox, but they do not state that a save can move between PlayStation and Xbox, between different accounts, or between editions. A missing prompt in one of those situations cannot be treated as a bug on the basis of the published wording. Use the same platform environment that contains the demo save unless an official support page provides a different procedure.
The demo has not been completed
Incomplete progress is not, by itself, a valid explanation for the missing option. The PlayStation listing expressly says that finishing the demo is unnecessary. Replaying the demo solely to reach its endpoint should not be required for eligibility.

There are two related but different pieces of information. First, earned demo Awards can be carried over. Second, the listings warn that you may need to fulfill some of the underlying award conditions again in the full game to unlock the related trophy or achievement.
That warning means a transferred reward does not guarantee an instant platform notification for every associated trophy or achievement. For example, a condition satisfied in the demo may be recognized as part of the imported save while the full game still requires the condition to be triggered again before the platform marks the trophy or achievement complete. The official wording does not enumerate which conditions are affected, so there is no authoritative list of exceptions to apply in advance.
- PlayStation: Awards earned in the Prologue Demo can carry over, but some related trophy conditions may need to be fulfilled again.
- Xbox: The listing gives equivalent achievement guidance, including the possibility that some conditions must be repeated.

If a trophy or achievement does not unlock as soon as the save is imported, replay the relevant activity in the full game rather than assuming that the transfer failed. The warning makes that outcome possible and expected for some conditions.

The two platforms therefore share the important behavior, but you should not turn an omission in one listing into a guarantee. In particular, the PlayStation page explicitly documents the existing-save restriction; the Xbox material cited here does not provide a separate field describing that case.

If preserving demo progress is important
Start the full version with the demo save still available and look for the transfer prompt before creating ordinary full-game progress. This avoids the one published PlayStation condition that makes the option unavailable.
If you only want to sample the demo
You can stop whenever you like. Completion is not required, so there is no transfer-related reason to rush through “To the Forest.”

Transfer the save, then expect that some trophy or achievement conditions may need another trigger in the full game. Keep the distinction between an imported Award or achievement record and the platform’s separate completion notification in mind.
If you need a precise inventory guarantee
The published listings are not detailed enough to provide one. Treat any equipment, currency or material transfer as unconfirmed until an official update or in-game result identifies it. The documented promise is save-data transfer plus the stated Awards or achievements behavior.
