Yes, the Steam version of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection supports Steam Cloud save backups and several common controllers, but it does not support cross-platform saves. Its minimum PC requirements include Windows 11 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT. Here’s what to check before you start or transfer a save.
What save options does the Steam version support?
Capcom says Steam players can back up save data by uploading it to Steam Cloud. The company cautions that normal game operation is not guaranteed with backups created from local storage. For that reason, treat Steam Cloud as the stated backup route; Capcom does not promise that manually copying local save files is a supported or safe restore method. See the Capcom Steam FAQ.
Can a trial save transfer to the full game?
Yes, subject to a key condition: only trial save Slot 1 transfers. Autosave-only progress cannot be transferred. Before leaving the trial, make a manual save at a Catavan Stand so your progress is in Slot 1.

If you already started the full game and it created a new full-game autosave, Capcom says the transfer can no longer proceed in-game. The FAQ’s recovery advice is to delete the full-game save through the hardware’s settings, then launch the game again. Be careful to delete only the full-game save—not the trial save you want to transfer.

Can you move a save between PC and console?
No. Capcom states that “Crossplay and cross-saves between platforms are not supported.” Steam Cloud backs up Steam saves; it does not provide a way to move progress between PC and console.
Which controllers work on PC?
Capcom says normal game operation is supported with the following controller types, as well as mouse and keyboard:

Some controller-specific features are unavailable. Xbox impulse triggers are not compatible. On DualShock 4, the light bar, motion sensors, and touch pad are not compatible. On DualSense, the light bar, motion sensors, touch pad, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback are not compatible. Switch Pro and Switch 2 Pro HD Rumble is not compatible. A compatible controller is optional; Capcom also lists mouse and keyboard.
Fix Nintendo controller button prompts
If the on-screen button icons do not match your Nintendo controller, Capcom recommends setting Options > Controls > Controller Button Icons > Type 5 in the game. If A/B or X/Y prompts still appear swapped, open Steam Settings > Controller and disable Use Nintendo Button Layout.

The Steam listing specifies these minimum and recommended configurations for the PC version. They are published specifications, not independent performance test results.

Steam notes that frame rates may drop in graphics-intensive scenes, so the listed targets are expectations rather than guarantees. Capcom also cautions that the game may not operate normally with onboard graphics that share system memory or with mobile GPUs, whose performance may be lower than desktop GPUs. A laptop’s GPU name alone is therefore not enough to establish compatibility; compare its actual graphics hardware and the rest of its specifications with the listing. How to check whether your PC is a reasonable match
- Confirm Windows: the listed operating system is Windows 11 64-bit.
- Compare the processor and graphics card: use the minimum tier as the listed entry point and the recommended tier as the higher-preset target. Do not assume an integrated GPU or a mobile GPU will behave like a similarly named desktop card.
- Check memory and disk space: the listing calls for 16 GB RAM and 50 GB available storage, and recommends an SSD.
- Set expectations from the tier: Steam lists 1080p/30 fps on Low for minimum and 1080p/60 fps on High for recommended, while warning that demanding scenes can reduce frame rate.
These specifications do not establish guaranteed performance for every PC. The Steam listing and Capcom FAQ are the appropriate places to recheck current requirements and compatibility qualifications.
