For the September 17, 2026 snapshot of version 696.0, the strongest Mobile Legends: Adventure choices are concentrated in the S tier, but the best investment still depends on faction, role, team synergy and your objective. Use the faction tables below to identify high-priority heroes, then build a team whose skills and resource demands fit together.
How to read this faction tier list
Mobile Legends: Adventure has seven factions: Elemental, Martial, Tech, Light, Dark, Order and Chaos. The rankings below follow Pocket Gamer’s version 696.0 list, updated September 17, 2026. S is the highest tier in that list, followed by A, B and C. A separate October 14, 2026 guide corroborates the 2026 roster and uses an additional S+ category, so labels can differ between lists.
An S-tier placement is a starting priority, not a promise that a hero wins every mode. Team composition, faction interactions, the role a hero fills, available upgrade materials and whether you are targeting campaign, tower, arena or another mode all change the practical choice. Community rankings cited by Gamer Empire on January 6, 2026 were based on the official Mobile Legends: Adventure Discord and community feedback, rather than a published win-rate statistic.

Martial heroes
| Tier | Characters |
|---|---|
| S | Tidescale Kalea, Kryos Sinmara, Irithel, Nimbus Eudora, Miracle Clara |
| A | Erza, Ruby, Akai, Clint, Hanabi, Masha, Nana, Wanwan, Bell Cranel |
| B | Lapu-Lapu, Zilong |
| C | Hayabusa, Lancelot, Yi Sun-Shin, Alucard, Franco, Hilda |
Martial’s top group includes Irithel and the newer Tidescale Kalea and Kryos Sinmara. Miracle Clara is also ranked S, making her a priority when your lineup needs the utility she provides rather than another pure damage dealer.
Tech heroes
| Tier | Characters |
|---|---|
| S | Angela, Atlas, Mystic Mystia, Sentient Alina |
| A | Apexis Cluster, Edith, Claude, Karrie, Lolita, Mecha Layla, Natan |
| B | Alpha, Lesley, Saber, X.Borg, Arcus Miya |
| C | Diggie, Bruno, Jawhead, Layla |
Angela, Atlas, Mystic Mystia and Sentient Alina are the clearest Tech priorities in this ranking. Their value should be judged by the job your roster lacks—support, protection, control or damage—because simply collecting four S-tier names does not guarantee a coherent formation.

| A | Ultio Eris, Florence, Kagura, Silvanna, Uranus, Gatotkaca, Guinevere, Kimmy, Fanny, Mecha Layla |
| B | Chang’e, Gusion, Freya, Minsitthar, Natalia |
| C | Kaja, Rafaela, Tigreal |
Light’s S tier is led by Tidescale Kalea, Eclipse Arlott, Odette, Astraia Spira and Naiad Rafaela. If your account already has a strong carry, an S-tier support or control option may improve progression more than another attacker.
Dark heroes
| Tier | Characters |
|---|---|
| S | Ethereal Zhuxin, Eclipse Arlott, Achlys Alice, Argus, Pharsa, Astraia Spira, Luna Amara |
| A | Selena, Lylia, Vexana, Karina, Thamuz, Miracle Clara, Darksteel Dullahan |
| B | Alice, Granger, Moskov, Hanzo, Helcurt |
| C | Aldous, Balmond, Bane |
Dark has seven S-tier entries, including Argus, Pharsa and Luna Amara alongside cross-faction appearances from Zhuxin, Arlott and Astraia Spira. Check each hero’s faction assignment and upgrade path in your account before assuming that a similarly named version fills the same role.

| A | Agnes, Erza, Helia Karihmet, Amaterasu, Hwang Jini, Tia, Xeno, Hestia, Bai |
| B | Gavana, Karihmet |
Order has the deepest S tier in the list. Omniversal Akashic, Heartcore Angela, Genesis Shar and Infinia Crocell are prominent priorities, while Akashic, Lunox, Oberon, Forseti and the other S-tier variants give advanced accounts several ways to build around high-end synergy. The list contains no C-tier Order heroes.
Chaos heroes
| Tier | Characters |
|---|---|
| S | Nightseer Esmeralda, Aeon Rista, Heartcore Angela, Mystic Mystia, Hel, Irithel, Achlys Alice, Shah Torre, Shar, Morpheus, Sekhet, Singularity Lunox, Genesis Star, Beatrice, Genesis Shar |
| A | Estarith, Noctis Tokinibara, Anna, Apostae, Martis, Yu Zhong, Tokinibara |
| B | Melodic Lunabelle, Zhask, Rista |
Chaos also has a large S tier, with Nightseer Esmeralda, Heartcore Angela, Mystic Mystia, Irithel and several Shar, Lunox, Sekhet and Star variants. No C-tier Chaos heroes are listed. Because many entries are premium or variant versions, confirm the exact hero form before transferring equipment or awakening materials.

How to choose whom to build first
- Start with your faction goal. Decide whether you need a campaign push, tower progress, arena defense or a specialized event lineup; the strongest generalist is not always the best answer for a mode-specific task.
- Fill missing roles. Identify whether your current team lacks frontline durability, healing, control, buffing or sustained damage. Select the highest-ranked hero that solves that problem.
- Check synergy before rarity. Read skill interactions and faction requirements, then test whether the proposed hero improves your existing formation rather than replacing several functioning units.
- Protect scarce resources. Concentrate equipment, awakenings and duplicate copies on a small core. An S-tier hero left underbuilt can contribute less than a well-developed A-tier partner.
- Recheck after patches. This snapshot is tied to version 696.0 and the September–October 2026 updates. Balance changes, new releases and mode adjustments can move a hero between tiers.
Is Angela still good?
Yes. Angela is S tier for Tech, while Heartcore Angela is S tier for both Order and Chaos in the cited list. Treat those as separate faction entries when planning bonuses and materials. Her continued top placement makes Angela a high-priority consideration, but the final choice should still match the support needs and faction structure of your roster.
