Mizuno positions the Neo Vista 3 as a springy road-running shoe for jogging, speed workouts, and racing. Its official listings describe a knit upper, ENERZY NXT foam, a Wave Plate, and Smooth Speed Assist geometry, but those specifications do not establish how it performs on a run. The available evidence supports a review of its design, sizing, and regional pricing—not a firsthand verdict on fit, ride, traction, or durability.
What kind of running shoe is the Neo Vista 3?
Mizuno places the Neo Vista 3 in its MIZUNO NEO series and describes it as a shoe for runners who prefer a springy sensation. The company lists jogging, speed training, and racing as intended uses. These are manufacturer positioning claims, not independent confirmation that the shoe suits every pace or performs well in those settings. Mizuno’s NEO-series page provides the broader series context.
The model codes on Mizuno’s Japanese listings are J1GM2610 for men’s, J1GW2610 for women’s, and J1GU2610 for a unisex listing. Those codes can help distinguish the specific model when checking a retailer’s color, size, or regional product page. Mizuno Japan’s Neo Vista 3 listings identify the variants.
What is it made of?
Mizuno’s product descriptions center on cushioning, a plate, and geometry intended to support the shoe’s springy character. The Japanese listing names MIZUNO ENERZY NXT foam, a Wave Plate, Smooth Speed Assist geometry, a knit upper, and X10 outsole material. Mizuno says ENERZY NXT is softer, more responsive, and lighter than MIZUNO ENERZY; that is the company’s material description, not a comparative test of the complete shoe.

The Canadian product listing describes nitrogen-infused ENERZY NXT cushioning, a full-length Wave Plate, deeper sole grooves, a precision-crafted impact zone, and a cushioned heel. Those details explain the intended construction, but they do not demonstrate a particular ride, level of stability, or traction on different surfaces.

| Women’s listed weight | Approximately 220 g for one 24.5 cm shoe, according to Mizuno Japan’s 2026 listing. This is a different size and variant from the men’s figure, so the figures are not a direct like-for-like comparison. |
| Width | 2E-equivalent standard width on the Japanese men’s and women’s listings. |
| Insole | Removable premium insole. |
| Men’s listed size range | 23.0–29.0 cm on Mizuno Japan’s men’s listing. |

The Japanese men’s listing says the insole surface textile and shoelace textile each use at least 90% recycled material. That claim applies to those named components only; it does not establish that the shoe as a whole is made from recycled material. Mizuno Japan’s product listings are the source for the model-specific specifications.

What this evidence can—and cannot—say about the shoe
The official specifications establish the model’s stated materials, selected sizing and weight details, and Mizuno’s intended use. They are not a substitute for a documented wear test. The available evidence does not establish firsthand fit, comfort, ride character, traction, stability, durability, or suitability for a particular runner or pace.
A meaningful hands-on review would need to report who tested the shoe, how many runs and miles they completed, what surfaces and paces they used, and the size and variant worn. A comparison with another shoe would also need matched sizes for weight and clear criteria for fit, cushioning, geometry, outsole, and price in the same market. Without that evidence, claims about injury risk or running economy would be especially unsupported.
