Capacity alone cannot establish how much usable space your own containers or shopping will occupy.

Mitsubishi Australia lists the refrigerator at 699 mm wide, 1798 mm high and 709 mm deep. Those are product dimensions, not the full space needed to install and use it. Mitsubishi specifies clearance of 20 mm on each side, 100 mm above and 50 mm at the rear. With those clearances added, the nominal minimum cavity width is 739 mm and the height allowance is 1898 mm. Allow at least 759 mm in depth if measuring from the back of the appliance to the nearest obstruction, while checking the installation drawing for how Mitsubishi defines depth and clearance.

Before ordering, check the full installation drawing and measure more than the cavity: confirm door and drawer opening space, nearby walls or cabinetry, and the complete delivery route, including turns and doorways. Energy use and noise claims
The Australian product page lists a 4.0-star energy rating and annual energy use of 332 kWh. These are published product figures, not a guarantee of a particular household’s electricity use or bill; actual consumption and cost depend on use and local electricity rates.

A Mitsubishi Electric New Zealand flyer published in May 2026 gives a 16 dBA quietness claim for its 400–499L multi-drawer category. That is a manufacturer category claim, not an independently verified measurement for this exact Australian model, so it should not be treated as a measured MR-CX450ER-SS-A noise result.
Features and everyday operation
Mitsubishi’s listed features include multi-airflow cooling, automatic ice making, a VitaLED vegetable drawer, a Supercool chilling case, a two-way flexi glass shelf, a frost-free freezer and door alarms. The features describe what is included, but do not establish independent performance or long-term reliability.

Ice making
Mitsubishi New Zealand describes the ice maker as non-plumbed, meaning it does not require a fixed water connection according to that market’s product information. Check the instructions supplied with the Australian unit for its exact filling and operating procedure.
Door alarms
Mitsubishi New Zealand says separate alarms for the refrigerator and freezer drawers sound when either has been open for more than a minute. This is a manufacturer description of the alarm behavior.

For Australia, Mitsubishi Electric describes a five-year parts-and-labour warranty and 10 years of parts coverage on the inverter compressor. In New Zealand, Mitsubishi describes five years of comprehensive parts-and-labour cover and 10 years of compressor parts-only cover. These are separate market statements, not interchangeable terms. Confirm the warranty that applies to your country, purchase date and seller before buying; the Australian terms appear on the Australian product page, and the New Zealand terms on the New Zealand product page.
