Use the larger installed space—not just the cabinet dimensions—to plan the fit. Measure the opening, allow for the recommended clearances, and check the route through doorways, hallways and corners. The exact OB-A1 retailer listing gives 1,820 × 600 × 660 mm and a weight of 68 kg; these are retailer-stated details, while the manufacturer’s flyer distinguishes depth with and without the leg cover. Confirm the dimensions of the unit being delivered.
What are the published energy figures?
Mitsubishi Electric Australia’s 2021 flyer gives the model a 3.5-star energy rating and states annual energy use of 351 kWh/year. CHOICE’s public listing for the related OB-A model also reports 3.5 stars and claimed use of 351 kWh/year. These are published figures, not a new measurement of an individual appliance or a guarantee of the electricity it will use in your home. Actual running cost depends on your electricity tariff and use; multiply the applicable tariff per kWh by the published annual consumption for a rough estimate. Check the energy label on the exact unit for current, model-specific information.

Does it need plumbing for ice?
The exact OB-A1 listing describes ice-only dispensing and says plumbing is required. It does not establish a water-dispensing feature. Confirm whether the installation location has a suitable water connection and ask the seller what is included or required for installation. Mitsubishi Electric’s operating instructions cover installation, temperature adjustment, compartments, automatic ice-maker operation, cleaning and troubleshooting. The manual says its MR-CX402EJ illustrations are used and that operation is the same as the MR-CX370EJ despite differences in capacity and dimensions.
