Mint is no longer a current Android budgeting option. Intuit announced a transition to Credit Karma, while Wallet by BudgetBakers remains an active budgeting and tracking app for Android, iOS, and the web. Wallet may suit former Mint users, but it is not a confirmed one-to-one replacement: its bank connections, import behavior, budgeting workflow, privacy disclosures, and subscription terms need to be checked for your situation.
Is Mint moving to Credit Karma?
Intuit’s announced destination for Mint users was Credit Karma. An Intuit community post from November 2023 reproduces support text describing a move of most account balances, historical net worth, and three years of transactions. That post also said Mint transactions could be downloaded for a month after Mint features ended. Because this is a forum post quoting support material, check current official Intuit guidance for any deadline or remaining export procedure; the reproduced text is not sufficient to establish what options are available today. Read the reproduced transition information.
Wallet by BudgetBakers is a separate product, not the destination in Intuit’s announced transition. It offers manual tracking and bank synchronization, but available information does not establish full Mint feature parity or guarantee that every Mint field will carry over.

What Wallet by BudgetBakers can do
Manual tracking and bank sync
Wallet supports manual cash-expense entry as well as connected-bank synchronization. BudgetBakers describes connected-bank access as read-only and says Wallet cannot send payments, withdraw cash, or hold funds. It is a budgeting and tracking service, not a bank. Budgets, goals, and reports
BudgetBakers lists monthly budgets, savings goals, spending reports, shared finances, and manual expense entry. The Google Play listing also describes bill and subscription tracking, cash-flow monitoring, investment tracking, and cloud synchronization. These features provide a useful starting point for comparison, but they do not prove that Wallet reproduces Mint’s exact categories, alerts, or reporting workflow.
Mobile and browser access
BudgetBakers’ download page links its mobile apps and web app. It describes quick expense entry and receipt scanning on mobile, and advanced analytics, bulk operations, and report export on the web. Can you move Mint data into Wallet?
Wallet lists imports from CSV, XLS, and OFX files, so an export-and-import route may be possible if you have Mint data in one of those formats. BudgetBakers does not confirm which Mint export columns Wallet accepts, whether categories remain mapped, or whether historical account balances and net-worth records import intact. Treat a successful file import as evidence only that those particular records were accepted—not proof of a complete migration. Check BudgetBakers’ import guidance.
- Confirm your source data. Check current Intuit instructions for whether Mint exports remain available and what they include. Do not rely on the historical one-month download period without verifying it.
- Keep an untouched copy. Save the original export separately before editing or importing it.
- Check the file type. Wallet lists CSV, XLS, and OFX support; confirm your export is in a supported format.
- Test a small sample. Import a limited file first, then inspect dates, amounts, account names, categories, and balances against the original.
- Decide what to do with the rest. If the sample loses fields or fails to match, preserve the export as an archive and consider manual entry for information you need in current budgets.
What to check before switching
- Your bank and account type: BudgetBakers advertises connections to more than 15,000 financial institutions, but the figure does not establish that your institution or specific account works in your region. Search for your bank in Wallet before choosing a paid plan. See BudgetBakers’ Wallet product information.
- Manual entry versus automation: The free tier is described as manual tracking, while Premium includes automation such as bank sync. Confirm the current plan details and whether the features you want are available for your device and country. Check the Google Play listing.
- Budgeting and reports: Decide which Mint routines matter to you, then verify that Wallet’s budgets, goals, bills, and reports support them. Exact Mint parity is not established.
- Sharing and currencies: BudgetBakers advertises group sharing and multi-currency support. Confirm the current limits and availability if you share household finances or manage multiple currencies. Review the current product offer.
- Privacy: Read both BudgetBakers’ explanation of connected-account access and the app-store data-safety information. Google Play says the app may share financial information with third parties, may collect location, personal information, and other data, and encrypts data in transit. Read-only bank access does not answer every question about data collection and sharing. Review Google Play’s data-safety section.
- Subscription terms: Check current pricing, trial terms, renewal conditions, and which Premium features apply to your platform and country before subscribing.
Which app makes sense for a former Mint user?
Wallet is worth considering if you want an active budgeting app, can connect your bank or are comfortable entering transactions manually, and are willing to test any historical import. It is not a safe assumption if your decision depends on exact Mint category behavior, intact net-worth history, or a particular bank connection that you have not confirmed.

If access to old records matters more than moving them into a new budget, keep a copy of any export you can obtain and verify a sample in Wallet before treating it as your financial record. If hands-off tracking is essential, confirm your bank’s connection and the required plan before switching your workflow.
