If you mean Intuit’s Mint personal-finance app, there is no Android troubleshooting fix that will restore the discontinued service. Intuit Credit Karma announced on October 31, 2023, that Mint was going away and described a phased move to Credit Karma for users who chose to migrate. If you mean a different Mint app, identify it first; the steps below are for a separate, currently supported Android app that will not open.
Why the Intuit Mint app will not work
Intuit Credit Karma’s October 31, 2023 announcement said: “Mint is going away, and we have phased communications and user migration by design so the product team can ensure a smooth transition for Minters who decide to onboard to Credit Karma.” That announcement explains why reinstalling Mint, clearing its cache, or updating Android cannot bring the discontinued service back. Read the announcement from Intuit Credit Karma.
The announcement described Credit Karma as the destination for users who chose to migrate; it is historical evidence of the planned transition, not confirmation that the old Mint app or a migration process is available now. Check current official Intuit or Credit Karma account and data tools before making account changes. The available information does not establish whether former Mint users can still start a transfer or export historical data.

A November 3, 2023 Intuit Community response reproduced historical support guidance stating that users could transfer most financial account balances, historical net worth, and three years of transactions. It also said that after moving, users would no longer be able to access their Mint profile. These are details of the historical guidance, not a guarantee of what can be transferred or accessed today. If a different Android app will not open, try these steps
Google’s troubleshooting sequence applies to an app that is currently installed and supported; it will not restore Mint. Google advises: “After each step, restart your phone to see if it fixed the issue.” Settings names and locations can differ between Android devices. Google’s guide to fixing an installed Android app provides the general steps.
- Restart the phone. Try opening the app again after the phone starts.
- Install available updates. Check for an Android system update and update the app from Google Play, then restart and test it.
- Force stop the app. Open the phone’s Settings, find the app in the apps list, and choose Force stop. Reopen it.
- Clear the cache if the problem persists. In Settings, open the app’s storage options and choose Clear cache, if available. Restart and test again.
- Clear app data or reinstall only if you accept possible data loss. Clearing data can erase information saved locally, and uninstalling may also remove app data. Check whether the app’s data is backed up or synced before taking either step.
- Contact the app’s developer. If the app still crashes or will not open, use its Google Play listing or official support channel.
Already using Credit Karma?
Google Play lists AppSupport@creditkarma.com as support for the Credit Karma Android app. The listing is a contact for Credit Karma support, not a promise that Mint data can be recovered. For account access problems, use the app’s official account recovery or support options. View Credit Karma on Google Play.
