In Minecraft Dungeons II (also called Minecraft Dungeons 2), use your Health Potion for a quick heal, or consume food you pick up during a run. The potion goes on cooldown after use, so food and healing effects from equipment can help when it is unavailable. The controls below are reported by a September 29, 2026 guide; check the game’s settings if your bindings differ.
Use a Health Potion during combat
Press E on PC or L2 or LB on a controller to use the Health Potion, according to Beebom’s healing guide. The potion then enters a cooldown, so you cannot rely on it for every hit. Check the controls menu if those inputs do not match your setup.
Pick up and eat food
Food can drop from enemies, appear in chests, or be found at points of interest. The guide says food is consumed immediately rather than stored in your inventory. Use the reported input—left mouse button on PC, or A or X on controller—to eat a pickup when you need health.

Gear and enchantments can provide healing beyond the potion and food. These specific values are reported by Beebom and should be checked against the current in-game item or enchantment text, as an official mechanics reference with tier values is not established.

- Healing Smite: The guide reports a chance to create a regeneration well after defeating an enemy: 20% at tier 1, 35% at tier 2, and 50% at tier 3. Xbox Wire also describes the effect generally as a chance to produce a healing circle around you after a kill, but does not give tier percentages.
- Health Synergy: The guide reports that using an artifact restores 15% of maximum health at tier 1, 25% at tier 2, and 35% at tier 3. This effect depends on having an artifact to use.
- Picnic Basket: The guide says this artifact provides food items.
Revive a downed teammate in co-op
Approach a downed teammate and use the interaction input to revive them. Beebom reports E on PC and A or X on controller; it also says multiple players reviving the same teammate can speed up recovery. Verify the interaction binding in settings if needed.

- Need health now: Use the Health Potion if it is available, or eat a nearby food pickup.
- The potion is cooling down: Look for food, or rely on a healing effect your current equipment provides.
- You are downed in co-op: A teammate should approach and interact to revive you.
The documented options differ in when they help: potions and food are direct recovery, while equipment effects depend on conditions such as leaving combat, defeating an enemy, or using an artifact. The available sources do not establish one universally best healing setup.
