What this review can establish
This is a specification-led review, not a firsthand test. Miele’s Australian sheet describes the G 7104 SC CLST; CHOICE’s Australian listing identifies the G 7104 SC and says the model is discontinued. Those sources establish features and published figures, but not how the dishwasher performs in a current independent test or whether a particular retailer has stock.
Model suffixes matter: CHOICE lists related G 7104 SCU CLST, G 7104 SCi and other variants, while the manufacturer sheet cited here is specifically for the G 7104 SC CLST. Do not assume that a feature, finish, installation format or electrical specification transfers to another suffix.

Miele lists AutoOpen drying, SensorDry, the FreshWater dishwasher system and Brilliant GlassCare. AutoOpen is the named drying feature; the available documentation does not establish an independent drying score or comparative drying advantage.
Loading and display
The CLST sheet specifies a 3D MultiFlex cutlery tray and ExtraComfort baskets, plus a FlexCare glass holder and cup-rack configuration identified as 2/1. It also lists a time-left display, delay start of up to 24 hours and ComfortClose. These are manufacturer-listed features, not an assessment of how well the racks fit any particular household’s dishes.

Miele@home and MobileControl are marked unavailable for the specified CLST variant. The documentation therefore does not support describing this model as app-connected.
What CHOICE’s public review does—and does not—show
CHOICE’s Australian page identifies the dishwasher and publishes listing details, but gates its Expert Rating and performance fields behind membership. The accessible page does not disclose the washing, drying or energy-efficiency scores, measured energy or water use, measured noise, programme time, test year, recommendation, reliability score or satisfaction score. As a result, no independent score or CHOICE endorsement can be established from the public information available.

Availability and price: check the exact model
CHOICE labels the model “Discontinued model” and displayed A$2,349 on the page accessed in 2026. That displayed amount is not evidence of a current offer, live stock or a current Australian market price. Check local availability directly and confirm the full model code and finish before comparing listings.

CHOICE names related models including the G 7104 SCU CLST, G 7104 SCi, G 7104 BRWS, G 7154 SCVi, G 7314 SCi and G 7314 SCU. The suffixes can indicate a different installation format or variant; compare each model’s own specification sheet rather than treating the SC CLST details as universal.

How to decide whether it fits
- Check installation first: the documented G 7104 SC CLST is freestanding. If your kitchen needs an integrated or built-under dishwasher, verify that the exact alternative is designed for that installation.
- Verify the suffix and finish: match the complete model code on the product listing and appliance label to the specification you are considering.
- Compare performance evidence: seek accessible independent wash and drying results, noise measurements and cycle-duration data for the exact model. The public CHOICE page does not provide those results.
- Compare consumption carefully: distinguish Miele’s 189 kWh/year from CHOICE’s 186 kWh/year, and compare figures only when the test basis and cycle are comparable.
- Assess the racks in practical terms: consider whether the 3D MultiFlex tray and basket layout suit the cutlery, glasses and cookware you use.
- Confirm local terms: check current stock, price, warranty coverage and Australian electrical compatibility with the seller or manufacturer.
Use and care guidance
Miele’s quick-start guide covers loading, detergent dosing, the timer, cleaning, spray-arm care, filter checks, programme selection and consumption estimates. It says it does not replace the full operating instructions supplied with the machine, and advises reading the safety instructions before first use. Owners should follow the supplied full manual for detailed operation and safety.
The guide advises inspecting spray arms regularly, approximately every two to four months. It also says not to run a wash programme without the lower spray arm or filters fitted. These are the guide’s care instructions, not independent findings about reliability or performance.
