The Miele DA 3466 is a 595 mm stainless-steel slimline cooker hood that can be set up for extraction or recirculation. Miele lists three fan levels and a booster rated at up to 550 m³/h, but that maximum is a specification—not a guarantee of airflow in a particular kitchen. Its published efficiency ratings are mixed: B for energy and grease filtering, C for fluid-dynamic efficiency, and A for lighting.
What the DA 3466 offers
Miele describes the DA 3466 as a slimline hood with electronic light-touch controls. Its main features are:
- A 595 mm stainless-steel canopy.
- Three ordinary fan levels and one booster setting, powered by a dual-action blower.
- A 10-ply stainless-steel grease filter that Miele says is dishwasher-safe.
- Two 3 W LED lights. Miele lists 320 lx lighting intensity and a 3000 K colour temperature.
- Extraction or recirculation air-guide arrangements, with additional parts required for recirculation.
Miele’s product sheet calls it a “Slimline cooker hood with energy-efficient LED lighting and light-touch switches for easy use.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent assessment of ease of use or performance. Miele DA 3466 product sheet

Miele’s 2026 product sheet gives a maximum booster airflow of 550 m³/h and sound-power figures of 45 dB at level 1, 56 dB at level 3, and 64 dB at booster. These are manufacturer ratings, not measurements of what the hood will deliver or sound like in your kitchen. Duct resistance, the installation route, room size, and cooking habits are all relevant when judging whether the hood suits your space.

A separate Miele technical sheet from 2021 reports 150 m³/h minimum airflow, 400 m³/h maximum airflow, 322 m³/h at the best-efficiency point, and 365 Pa air pressure at that point. These figures are published under the EU household cooker-hood labelling framework; check that the technical data applies to the exact regional model you are considering. The figures describe different operating points, so do not treat the booster maximum as typical airflow or compare it with another hood’s rating unless the settings and measurement basis match. The available manufacturer material does not establish real-kitchen extraction, perceived noise, or comparative performance.

Efficiency ratings and energy use
Miele’s 2026 product sheet lists a B energy-efficiency class, C fluid-dynamic efficiency class, A lighting-efficiency class, and B grease-filtering-efficiency class. It reports annual energy consumption of 69.5 kWh. A separate 2021 technical sheet gives grease-filtering efficiency of 89.0%. Extraction or recirculation: what you need
Extraction
In extraction mode, the hood routes air away through ducting. The model’s actual airflow will depend in part on the duct route and installation; use the installation diagram to assess your cabinet and duct plan rather than relying only on the headline booster figure.

Recirculation
Miele lists recirculation as an available configuration. Its product sheet names the separately ordered DUU 151 conversion kit and DKF 13-P active charcoal filter. Confirm that both parts fit your exact regional model and intended installation before ordering. Check fit and documentation before purchase
The DA 34×6 installation manual includes DA 3466 dimensions and diagrams for extraction and DUU 151 recirculation layouts. Before buying or arranging installation, check the diagram for your exact model against the cabinet height, cut-out, duct route, and applicable electrical requirements. Who should consider the DA 3466?
The DA 3466 is worth considering if you need a 595 mm slimline hood, want the option of extraction or recirculation, and are comfortable checking the correct ducting or separately ordered recirculation parts for your installation. The published specifications give a useful basis for that fit check, but they cannot establish how well it will extract or how loud it will seem in your kitchen. For comparisons, look at hood width and cabinet fit, airflow at equivalent fan settings, sound power at those settings, operating mode and required parts, and filter and installation requirements—not booster figures alone.
