The Midea MPPD30C is a 3.0 kW, cooling-only portable air conditioner that Midea lists for spaces of 13–20 m² in Australia and New Zealand. Those figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance results. Publicly visible evidence is not enough to establish how quickly it cools, how much energy it uses, or how noisy it is.
What the Midea MPPD30C offers
Midea’s Australian and New Zealand product pages list the MPPD30C as a portable air conditioner with a 3.0 kW cooling rating and a stated application area of 13–20 m². Midea does not establish that every room within that range will get the same results: room layout, heat load, climate and installation conditions matter, and the published area is guidance rather than an independently verified guarantee. No. The MPPD30C is listed as cooling-only. Do not confuse it with the MPPD33H: Midea identifies that separate model as a 3.38 kW heat-pump model on its Australian page. The shared manual names both units, but the MPPD33H’s heating capability does not apply to the MPPD30C. See Midea Australia’s product listing and Midea New Zealand’s listing.

How do the remote and Wi-Fi features work?
Midea describes Wi-Fi control as optional. Its i-Sense remote is said to adjust cooling power according to where the remote is located. That is a manufacturer feature claim; independent app or remote-operation testing was not available in the public review evidence examined. Confirm whether Wi-Fi is included or optional in your specific regional package before buying.
What do independent reviews establish?
CHOICE Australia has a model-specific page titled “Midea MPPD30C review,” identifies the unit as a cooling-only portable air conditioner, and displayed a price of A$899 when accessed in 2026. The price is a page snapshot, not a current offer guarantee. Its detailed expert rating, test results, cooling and energy-efficiency scores, fan-noise result, pros and cons are member-only on the visible page. Is it the right portable air conditioner for your room?
The strongest fit is a buyer in Australia or New Zealand who wants cooling rather than heating, and whose room falls within Midea’s stated 13–20 m² application range. Before choosing it, assess the factors that the headline capacity and room guidance cannot settle:
