Yes. The Metaphor: ReFantazio Prologue Demo save can continue in the full game, carrying forward the same story and character status. When you first start the main game, it asks whether you want to carry over the demo save. The key restriction is platform compatibility: Xbox and Microsoft Store on PC support cross-save, but PS4 and PS5 saves are not interchangeable.
What carries over from the Prologue Demo?
SEGA says players can carry their demo save into the main game, continuing with the same story and character status. The full game prompts you about carrying over the save when it starts. SEGA does not publish a field-by-field transfer list, so it is not established that every item, quest, or individual progress flag transfers.
SEGA’s FAQ describes the demo as the beginning of the full version, but does not specify an exact endpoint or playtime. That means the reliable expectation is a continuation of your save, not a particular number of hours of demo content.

Save compatibility depends on the platforms involved. SEGA supports cross-save between Xbox and Microsoft Store on PC; PS4 and PS5 saves cannot be used interchangeably.

| PS4 | PS5 | Not compatible; a PS4 demo save cannot continue in the PS5 main game. |
| PS5 | PS4 | Not compatible; a PS5 demo save cannot continue in the PS4 main game. |
The game is listed for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Windows, and Steam on the ATLUS game page. Choose the full-game platform with the save rules in mind; in particular, do not assume a PlayStation save can move between console generations.
What does the full game include?
The demo is an opening segment, not a separate version with a documented checklist of features excluded from it. ATLUS describes the full game as a journey to break the curse placed on the prince and compete in a tournament for the throne. Its game overview also describes quests, dungeon exploration, treasure hunting, building relationships and virtues, and time management. Those descriptions cover the game overall; the official pages do not identify each activity as exclusive to the full game.

SEGA says DLC content can be accessed from Akademia, and that demo players can visit Akademia later to access additional content. This is separate from the save-transfer information: the FAQ does not say DLC is required to continue the main story.
