The Melody Wings Uranus is a wired, four-driver-per-ear IEM with a modular cable and a sound its ecoustics reviewer describes as spacious, lively, and especially strong through the midrange. That same reviewer notes two important caveats: upper treble can sound sharp on some recordings, and a spring-like vibration may be noticeable when the earpieces are touched or moved. Bass also depends heavily on getting a secure seal.
What is the Melody Wings Uranus?
The Uranus is an in-ear monitor (IEM) built around four driver types in each earpiece: a 10 mm beryllium-coated dynamic driver, a balanced-armature driver, a 10 mm bone-conduction driver, and a piezoelectric driver. The product uses a four-way crossover. AV Watch’s sponsored feature describes the intended driver roles, including assigning the bone-conduction unit to ultra-low frequencies; that is a design description, not independent proof of measured performance. AV Watch’s product feature and its launch report also place the IEM in the context of its collaboration with Japanese singer-songwriter Azuna Riko, who was involved in design, tuning, color, and packaging.

Aaron Sigal’s ecoustics review describes an airy, gently V-shaped presentation, with elevated upper mids and bright, forward treble. In that reviewer’s listening, the sound was lively and detail-forward, with separation that helped make dense arrangements easier to follow. The midrange stood out most: vocals came across as clear and distinct, and layered guitars remained well resolved. These are one reviewer’s subjective impressions, not a guarantee of how the IEM will sound to every listener.
Bass: seal changes the result
The ecoustics reviewer heard good sub-bass extension and moderately elevated bass, but found a dip between bass regions and less mid-bass punch than preferred. Electronic bass sweeps made the unevenness more apparent in that listening, while acoustic percussion fared well. The reviewer also found that a deeper, firmer seal improved low-frequency performance. Because ear shape and tip fit vary, treat that as a fit-dependent observation rather than a universal result.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Treble: detail with a potential edge
The upper-treble extension and separation can suit listeners who want an open, revealing presentation, particularly with busy music. However, the reviewer disclosed mild treble sensitivity and found that treble-focused instruments on some recordings crossed their comfort threshold. If you are sensitive to bright headphones, or often listen to already-bright recordings, this is a meaningful caution rather than a minor footnote.
What is the notable quirk?
The ecoustics reviewer reports a spring-like physical vibration associated with the bone-conduction driver when touching or moving the shells. It was most noticeable during insertion and removal, and sometimes occurred while walking with a heavier gait. The reviewer found it less bothersome during ordinary listening. This report does not establish that every owner will experience the sensation, but it is worth knowing if you frequently adjust your earpieces or listen while walking.

How do fit, build, and accessories affect ownership?
Fit is central to getting the bass response the reviewer preferred: a more secure, deeper seal helped in that individual’s experience. The supplied silicone tips were usable for the ecoustics reviewer, while aftermarket alternatives improved isolation. No specific aftermarket tip model was tested or verified for compatibility, so treat alternative tips as optional experimentation and confirm that any replacement fits the nozzle properly.
The review praises the hand-painted faceplates and modular cable, but criticizes the resin nozzles compared with metal nozzles on other models. Package descriptions vary by source and market. The ecoustics review lists a case, cleaning cloth and tool, shirt clip, cable terminations, and six pairs of silicone tips; IEMRanking describes balanced and vocal tip sets in three sizes each, a co-branded case, cleaning brush, clip, cloth, and cards. Confirm the contents with the seller for the package you are buying.
