The MediaTek Dimensity 9400e is an eight-core smartphone chipset announced on May 14, 2025. It combines four Cortex-X4 cores with four Cortex-A720 cores, an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU and support for fast memory, Wi-Fi 7 and high-refresh-rate displays. Database entries report strong benchmark scores, but those figures belong to specific benchmark versions and phones—not a guaranteed score for every handset using the chip.
What is the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e?
MediaTek positions the Dimensity 9400e as a flagship-class mobile platform for phones, with features for gaming, AI, imaging and connectivity. Its May 14, 2025 launch announcement describes the chip as an expansion of the company’s Dimensity platform family. MediaTek’s announcement includes the launch framing and a statement from Dr. Yenchi Lee, General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit.

The specifications below describe platform capabilities published by MediaTek. Phone makers choose which features to implement, so a handset may not offer every capability listed for the chip.

CPU and cache
The 9400e uses an eight-core, all-big-core CPU design: four Arm Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. MediaTek lists this configuration:
#1 Best Overall
- CPU+OS: MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, Android 16, Flagship 4nm 5G octa-core, AnTuTu 2.3M+ Display: 6.79 inch, 1080×2460 Resolution
- RAM + ROM: Up to 18GB+18GB RAM + 512GB ROM, expandable to 2TB
- Camera: 50MP Samsung main + 64MP night vision + 8MP telephoto + 32MP front Camera Dimensions: 177.1*87*33.8mm Weight:715g (Add the battery)
- Battery+charger: 17600mAh large battery, 120W fast charging, Supports reverse charging
- 1 × Cortex-X4 at up to 3.4 GHz
- 3 × Cortex-X4 at up to 2.85 GHz
- 4 × Cortex-A720 at 2.0 GHz
MediaTek specifies 8 MB of L3 cache and 10 MB of system-level cache (SLC). The full platform specification is on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e page.
GPU and gaming features
The graphics processor is an Arm Immortalis-G720 MC12. MediaTek lists hardware-accelerated mobile ray tracing and MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT 2.0). It also says MediaTek Frame Rate Converter (MFRC 2.0+) can provide “up to 40% power savings in popular titles” compared with not using MFRC. That figure is a vendor claim; the product-page material does not specify an independent test method, so it should not be treated as a measured result for every game or phone.
Memory, storage and AI
The platform supports LPDDR5X and LPDDR5T memory, with a listed maximum memory frequency of 9600 Mbps. Storage support includes UFS 4 with MCQ. MediaTek also lists NeuroPilot support for generative AI workloads. Whether particular models or AI features are usable depends on the phone’s software, memory capacity, regional configuration and the manufacturer’s implementation.

Connectivity and display
MediaTek lists Wi-Fi 7 tri-band concurrency with five streams and a theoretical peak data rate of up to 7.3 Gbps. Its Sub-6GHz 5G modem supports four-carrier aggregation and a theoretical peak downlink of up to 7 Gbps. Bluetooth 6.0 and dual-SIM dual-active support are also listed. These are platform specifications, not promises of typical real-world throughput; actual results depend on the phone, network, plan, access point and local conditions.
Display support reaches up to WQHD at 180 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz. The platform’s imaging and video specifications include camera sensor support up to 320 MP and 8K video capture at 30 frames per second. These maxima do not mean every phone with the chip will have such a display or camera configuration.
What benchmark scores are reported for the Dimensity 9400e?
NanoReview’s benchmark database page, accessed October 7, 2026, displays the following Dimensity 9400e results. They are database-reported snapshots, not tests conducted for this article.
| Benchmark | Reported result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 | 2,518,801 total CPU: 750,689 GPU: 837,912 Memory: 344,946 UX: 585,254 |
NanoReview database entry; accessed October 7, 2026. |
| Geekbench 6 | 2,233 single-core 7,478 multi-core |
NanoReview reports four tests for this entry; accessed October 7, 2026. |
The component scores in AnTuTu are parts of that reported total, not separate measures of a phone’s overall everyday speed. Likewise, the Geekbench figures represent specific single-core and multi-core workloads rather than a direct measure of battery life, gaming smoothness or sustained performance.

Why scores differ between phones
NanoReview also lists device-level AnTuTu 11 results for three phones using the chipset:
| Phone listed by NanoReview | AnTuTu 11 result |
|---|---|
| Realme Neo 7 Turbo | 2,560,650 |
| OnePlus Ace 5 Racing | 2,536,961 |
| Realme GT 7 (Global) | 2,505,807 |
These are different handset entries, which is why a chipset does not have one universal phone score. Cooling, firmware, memory configuration, performance mode and test conditions can affect results; a peak benchmark entry also does not establish how well a phone sustains performance during a long gaming session.
Other published benchmark versions
Notebookcheck reports an AnTuTu v10 total of 2,147,490 and Geekbench 5.5 scores of 1,692 single-core and 7,209 multi-core for a Realme GT 7 configuration with 12 GB of RAM. These are results for a particular phone configuration and different benchmark versions. AnTuTu v10 and v11 totals should not be compared as if they used the same scale, nor should the Geekbench 5.5 results be read as Geekbench 6 scores.
For a useful chipset comparison, match the benchmark version and workload, then check the exact phone model and memory configuration. Consider peak and sustained performance separately: the cited database pages do not provide matched, independent battery-life or sustained-gaming tests across phones using the 9400e.
Which phones use the Dimensity 9400e?
NanoReview’s chipset page names the Realme Neo 7 Turbo, OnePlus Ace 5 Racing and Realme GT 7 (Global) as phones using the Dimensity 9400e. Names, specifications and availability can vary by market, so verify the exact regional model before buying or comparing results.
Because implementation differs, check the individual phone’s specifications for its actual display, memory, storage, cameras, wireless features and cooling design rather than assuming it uses every capability listed for the chipset.
