The Masport President 3500 AL Combo is a 32 kg push mower with an alloy body, a 45 cm cutting width, 11 cutting positions from 35 mm to 85 mm, and catcher/mulcher cutting, according to CHOICE’s listing. CHOICE says it tested the mower in 2022, but the accessible page does not show its expert rating or detailed test results. That means the available evidence supports a clear description of the mower, not a performance verdict.
What the Masport President 3500 AL Combo is
CHOICE identifies the President 3500 AL Combo as a push lawnmower with catcher/mulcher cutting, an alloy body and a Briggs & Stratton motor. Its product listing records a 45 cm cut and a weight of 32 kg. These are the specifications CHOICE attributes to the exact AL Combo model name.

CHOICE’s product listing records the test year as 2022. Its listed price is $799.00, but the page does not establish that as a current retail price.
How strong is the review evidence?
CHOICE confirms that it tested the mower, but the accessible listing does not disclose its expert rating, pros and cons, or detailed measures. Those hidden measures include catcher and mulching performance, ease of use, vibration, pushing, controls, starting, noise and edge cutting. Without those results, it is not possible to say from the available record how well the AL Combo performs in those areas or how it ranked against other tested mowers.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Reviews for the wider President 3500 family provide limited owner context, not a substitute for model-specific testing. ProductReview.com.au displays 8 reviews and an overall rating of 4.3 for the broader group, but the visible entries refer to different variants. One owner described a 3500 ST S19 Combo as easy to start and solid; another reported catcher-filling, vibration and starting problems. These are individual accounts about the ST S19 Combo, not findings about the AL Combo.
Do not confuse the AL Combo with the AL S18
Masport’s brochure describes a related but differently named model, the President 3500 AL S18 2’n1 (model 578708). That variant has a 460 mm aluminium mower and a Briggs & Stratton 175cc OHV Series 800EXi ReadyStart four-stroke engine. The brochure does not establish that this engine specification belongs to CHOICE’s President 3500 AL Combo. Check the mower’s model label or matching manual before relying on it.

Masport’s current President range page describes range-level features such as its Quadcut four-blade disc system and mulch functionality. It is not an exact-model specification sheet for the AL Combo, so those features should not be assumed to apply to this particular mower without matching documentation.

The available exact-model information does not confirm whether the AL Combo is currently in production or available new, nor does it verify a current selling price. A ProductReview comment that a different variant, the 3500 ST S19 Combo, is discontinued does not establish the AL Combo’s status. Ask an authorised Masport dealer to confirm stock, model identity, warranty coverage and service support.

- Match the model name and model number on the mower to the seller’s listing; do not treat AL Combo, AL S18, ST or SL versions as interchangeable.
- Check that a push mower and a 32 kg machine are suitable for the terrain and the amount of manoeuvring your lawn requires.
- Confirm that the 45 cm cutting width, 35–85 mm range and 11 height settings meet your needs.
- Ask whether the particular mower supports the catcher and mulching modes you expect, and request the exact model’s manual if the seller’s description is unclear.
- Get the current price, warranty conditions, stock status and service options in writing; CHOICE’s $799 listing is not a verified current offer.
For a meaningful comparison with another mower, compare verified model-specific details: drive type, deck material, width, weight, height range and settings, cutting modes, engine model, current price and warranty. CHOICE’s comparison scores are also behind member access, so the accessible information does not support naming a test winner.
