There are no official Marvel’s Wolverine PC requirements. Sony identifies the game as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, and PlayStation’s official FAQ says it is playable only on PS5 and PS5 Pro. As of October 13, 2026, Sony has published no PC version and no supported minimum or recommended CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, or resolution specifications.
If you want to play the released game, the supported hardware path is a PS5-family console. PS5 Pro adds Sony-described performance enhancements, including PSSR support, but the available sources do not quantify frame rates, resolution, or image-quality differences.
The short answer: you cannot build a supported PC configuration yet
Marvel’s Wolverine launched worldwide on September 15, 2026, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment. The launch announcement describes it as developed exclusively for PlayStation 5, and the official PlayStation game page’s FAQ names PS5 and PS5 Pro as the only playable platforms. That means a Windows PC is not a supported platform for the released game.
Because there is no announced PC edition in the official sources, there is also no legitimate PC requirements list to reproduce. Any article or video claiming an official minimum processor, graphics card, memory amount, storage requirement, or target frame rate is presenting an estimate rather than a Sony specification. The same applies to claims that a particular PC can run the game at 1080p, 1440p, or 4K.

- Vertical Stand sold seperately
This distinction matters when a title’s name prompts a “Can my PC run it?” search. For this game, the accurate answer is a platform answer, not a component-shopping answer: use a PS5 or PS5 Pro. Do not treat the console’s hardware as a direct equivalent to a desktop CPU or GPU, because Sony has not published a cross-platform parts comparison.
What the official information establishes
Release and platform
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s September 15, 2026 launch announcement says Marvel’s Wolverine is available worldwide and developed exclusively for PlayStation 5. The PlayStation (US) game page and its FAQ limit playable platforms to PS5 and PS5 Pro. The PlayStation Store listing also identifies the PS5 platform and the September 15, 2026 release date.
These statements describe the product available at launch. They do not announce a Windows, macOS, or Linux release, and they do not provide a timetable for another platform. No future-port promise should be inferred from the absence of a PC version today.

The official sources reviewed do not list PC minimum or recommended specifications. Specifically, they do not supply:
- A supported Windows version or DirectX requirement.
- A minimum or recommended CPU model.
- A minimum or recommended GPU model or video-memory target.
- A RAM requirement.
- A required free-space figure for a PC installation.
- Validated display resolutions, frame-rate targets, or graphics presets.
Without those figures, a “minimum PC” table would be fabricated. Console specifications also cannot be converted reliably into equivalent PC parts: consoles use a fixed hardware and software environment, while PC performance varies with drivers, operating-system versions, memory configuration, cooling, and graphics settings.
The hardware you need to play the released game
PS5
A standard PlayStation 5 is an officially supported platform. The console is the direct hardware requirement; you then need a copy of Marvel’s Wolverine for PS5 in the edition you choose. Sony’s public material does not establish a particular external drive, monitor, television, or exact free-storage amount for this article, so those should not be presented as official requirements.
PS5 Pro
PS5 Pro is the other supported platform. Sony describes enhanced performance on PS5 Pro and specifies use of PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) on that model. “Enhanced performance” is Sony’s qualitative description; the cited pages do not state a guaranteed frame rate, resolution, ray-tracing mode, or image-quality percentage.

PS5 Pro is therefore an option for people who want the enhanced console experience, not a prerequisite for playing. The official FAQ lists both PS5 and PS5 Pro as playable systems.
Controller, storage, and audio features
Sony says the game takes advantage of PS5 hardware through DualSense adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, the console’s ultra-high-speed SSD, and 3D audio. These are platform features used in the game’s design:
- DualSense: adaptive triggers and haptics are part of the PS5 experience Sony describes.
- SSD: Sony highlights loading enabled by the PS5 ultra-high-speed SSD.
- 3D audio: Sony identifies 3D audio as a supported feature.
None of these descriptions is a PC requirement. They also do not establish a numerical loading time, a required headset, or a particular audio format. Treat them as capabilities of the supported console environment rather than specifications to replicate with a PC upgrade.

PS5 and PS5 Pro: the supported choices compared
| Question | PS5 | PS5 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Is it an official playable platform? | Yes | Yes |
| How does Sony describe performance? | Standard PS5 experience | Enhanced performance |
| Is PSSR specifically identified? | Not stated in the cited material | Yes; PlayStation specifies PSSR use on PS5 Pro |
| Are frame-rate and resolution figures published here? | Not stated | Not stated |
| Is it required to play? | No; it is one of two supported consoles | No; it is an optional supported console |
This is the full comparison supported by Sony’s published information for this question. It would be inaccurate to turn the table into claims about a specific 30-fps or 60-fps mode, a native-versus-upscaled resolution, or a particular visual setting. Those numbers are not supplied by the cited official pages.

Choose the console before the edition
If you are starting from zero, the decision is first between PS5 and PS5 Pro. Both are listed as playable. Select the game edition separately; PlayStation lists Standard and Digital Deluxe editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition is described as including exclusive suits, claws, technique points, and pre-order incentives. Because bonuses and promotions can change or expire, check the live PlayStation listing at the time of purchase.
Accessories and themed products
PlayStation’s official pages also list Wolverine-themed PS5 bundles, console covers, and controllers. These products are optional presentation or control choices. They are not additional performance requirements, and a themed accessory is not needed to launch or run the game.
A DualSense controller is relevant to the feature set Sony describes, but the official material cited here does not establish a separate PC-compatible controller requirement. The supported platform remains the PS5 family.
Check live availability and regional details
Edition contents, bundle availability, and retail stock can vary by country and can change after launch. Sony’s pages establish that these product categories exist; they do not verify a particular retailer’s inventory, price, financing, or current promotional terms. Confirm those details in your region before ordering.
Why PC-speculation articles are risky for this game
Console hardware is not a parts list
A fixed console lets a developer target one known hardware family and operating environment. A PC version would require its own supported operating-system list, driver guidance, graphics settings, scalability options, and testing matrix. None of that documentation is present in the official material for Marvel’s Wolverine.
For that reason, mapping “PS5” to a named desktop processor or graphics card would create false precision. Even a technically similar part would not prove that the game supports the PC, because support depends on an actual PC build and software configuration published by the developer.
Do not use unrelated benchmarks
No named third-party benchmark or independently measured performance statistic is provided in the cited official sources. Results from another game, another Insomniac title, or a different console-to-PC port cannot establish requirements for Marvel’s Wolverine. They may be interesting comparisons, but they are not evidence of a supported configuration.
Do not mistake feature language for a performance guarantee
“Enhanced performance on PS5 Pro” does not mean Sony has promised a particular frame rate. “SSD-powered loading” does not reveal a PC storage capacity. “3D audio” does not specify a headset or sound-card requirement. Keep each statement within the scope Sony gives it.

The practical choices are:
- Use a supported PS5-family console if you want to play the released version now.
- Wait for an official platform announcement rather than buying components based on an unverified requirements list.
- Recheck the official PlayStation and Sony product pages for any future change in platform support or technical documentation.
Do not download purported PC installers or unofficial “requirements checkers” claiming to unlock the game. The official sources cited for this article do not identify a PC build, and an unverified download can create security and account risks unrelated to gameplay.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to interpret “smooth gameplay” here
In a PC article, “smooth” normally implies a measurable target such as a minimum frame rate at a named resolution and graphics preset. No such target is published for this game in the official material. The only supported performance distinction is Sony’s statement that PS5 Pro provides enhanced performance, with PSSR identified for that model.
That wording supports a platform choice, not a benchmark promise. If a display, capture card, or television manufacturer advertises a particular mode, treat that as separate product information unless Sony’s game documentation confirms it. The same caution applies to claims about ray tracing, resolution scaling, loading duration, or performance modes.

Platform support and technical documentation can change after launch, but no future PC port is established by the sources used here. If Sony announces another version, look for an official product page or technical support document that names the platform and publishes requirements. A reliable PC specification sheet should identify at least the operating system, processor, graphics hardware, memory, storage, and any target-resolution or preset assumptions.
Until that documentation exists, the responsible answer remains time-bound: as of October 13, 2026, the released game is a PS5 and PS5 Pro title with no official PC requirements.
Official source context
The platform and feature claims in this article come from Sony and PlayStation materials: Sony Interactive Entertainment’s September 15, 2026 launch announcement; the PlayStation (US) Marvel’s Wolverine game page and FAQ accessed October 13, 2026; Sony Group’s September 18, 2026 overview of the game’s PS5 features; and the PlayStation Store listing accessed October 13, 2026. The launch statement’s description of the game as developed exclusively for PlayStation 5 and its list of DualSense, SSD, 3D audio, and PS5 Pro features are promotional platform information, not a PC benchmark.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play Marvel’s Wolverine on Windows right now?
No official Windows version is identified in the cited Sony and PlayStation material. The official FAQ lists PS5 and PS5 Pro as the playable platforms.
Do I need PS5 Pro for the best or smoothest experience?
PS5 Pro is supported and has Sony-described enhanced performance with PSSR, but it is not required to play. Sony does not publish a quantified frame-rate or resolution comparison in the cited sources.
What PC graphics card is equivalent to the PS5?
There is no official equivalent to report. Sony has not published a PC version or a cross-platform CPU/GPU mapping, so naming a graphics card would be speculation.
How much PC storage does Marvel’s Wolverine require?
No PC storage requirement is published because no supported PC version is identified. Sony’s references to the PS5 ultra-high-speed SSD describe the console platform, not a PC capacity figure.
The Bottom Line
As of October 13, 2026, Marvel’s Wolverine has no official PC version or PC system requirements. The supported hardware is a PS5 or PS5 Pro; PS5 Pro adds Sony-described performance enhancements, but no official frame-rate or resolution figures are available.
