The game is therefore no longer an upcoming title or a preorder-only product. You can buy and play it on a PlayStation 5 now, subject to your region’s store or retailer stock. A PlayStation account and an internet connection may be needed for some online-connected features, even though the main game is a single-player experience.

Is there a PC, PS4 or Xbox version?

The emphasis is on staying in the fight, reading incoming attacks and exploiting Wolverine’s ability to recover from damage, rather than relying on long-range firearms or a cover-based shooting loop.

- Claw combat: Logan’s claws provide the primary close-range attacks and are integrated into the game’s most forceful finishers.
- Kicks and barrages: The official gameplay description specifically calls out kicks and sustained attack combinations, giving encounters more variety than a single repeated claw swipe.
- Critical strikes: These attacks reward creating or recognizing vulnerable moments in a fight.
- Healing Factor: Logan’s regeneration is represented by a rage ability called Last Stand, which activates his Healing Factor during combat.

The available descriptions establish the combat themes and examples above, but they do not publish a complete move list, difficulty breakdown or technical performance table. What is the story about?
The game presents an original Logan story rather than a direct retelling of a specific film. The central conflict involves a threat to mutant survival while Logan confronts a dark and painful past. That premise puts Wolverine’s personal history alongside a broader danger to mutantkind, giving the campaign both a character-driven and global scale.

The official PlayStation description names three major settings:
- Frosted Canadian wilderness: A cold, remote environment associated with Logan’s roots and the game’s more rugged atmosphere.
- Tokyo: Urban streets provide a sharply different backdrop from the Canadian wilderness.
- Madripoor: The campaign visits both the Hightown and Lowtown districts, allowing the city to function as more than a single generic level.
These locations are confirmed examples, not a complete itinerary. The game’s “global journey” framing indicates a campaign that moves between distinct regions, while the official page specifically identifies Canada, Tokyo and Madripoor.

Insomniac’s August feature announcement lists several activities that extend beyond a first campaign playthrough. Availability of some online-connected functions can depend on a PlayStation account and internet connection.
New Game Plus
New Game Plus lets you revisit the adventure with progression carried forward in a new run. The announcement says this mode includes exclusive Techniques and Level Caps, so it is more than a simple difficulty reset. The exact unlock conditions and cap values are determined in the game and are not specified in the announcement.
Mission Replay
Mission Replay provides a way to return to completed missions without restarting the entire story. It is useful for revisiting set pieces, collecting missed objectives or experimenting with techniques after unlocking more of Logan’s toolkit.

Nightmare Challenges
Nightmare Challenges are separate post-game tests intended for players who want tougher encounters after the main progression. The published feature list confirms the mode but does not state a fixed number of challenges, reward table or required difficulty.
Photo Mode
Photo Mode is included through a day-one update. Because it arrived as an update rather than only as a pre-release feature, install the latest available game update before troubleshooting missing photo controls. Some related online functions may require an internet connection and PlayStation account.
Accessibility and content controls
Insomniac’s August 28, 2026 announcement says Marvel’s Wolverine includes “over 100+” new, returning and improved accessibility features. That wording is intentionally approximate; it should not be converted into a precise count of exactly 100 or exactly 101 options.

- English Audio Description adds spoken descriptions for relevant visual information.

Do Deluxe bonuses affect gameplay?
The announced Deluxe suits and claws are cosmetic. They change Logan’s appearance but are not required to access the campaign or combat system. The three additional Technique Points are the one listed bonus that affects progression, because they provide extra points to spend on techniques. Whether that advantage matters depends on how much you value an earlier or broader upgrade path; the base game remains the normal way to experience the story.
What were the preorder bonuses?
The launch announcement listed the Classic Brown Suit, Reflective Claws, one Technique Point and four PS Avatars as preorder unlocks. Those were tied to the preorder offer described at announcement. Do not assume a current purchase includes them: availability can change after launch, and a retailer’s listing should state whether any bonus code or entitlement is included.
Wolverine-themed PS5 hardware and accessories
Sony announced optional Battle Yellow hardware alongside the game. These products are cosmetic or collectible additions; none is required to play Marvel’s Wolverine.

Check whether a console cover is for the original PS5, the PS5 Digital Edition or PS5 Pro before ordering. A cover designed for one chassis is not automatically interchangeable with another. Prices above are the announced US suggested retail prices, not necessarily the current selling price.

The US PlayStation Store listing names these voice options: Arabic, English, French (France), German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian and Spanish, including Mexico. Its screen-language list also includes Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Czech, Dutch, Greek, Hungarian, Korean and Thai.

Language support can vary by regional store, disc edition and installed content. Before buying an imported copy or changing your console language, check the listing for the specific country and edition you will use. A language appearing in the US listing is not a promise that every regional release contains the same voice or text package.
What you need to play
- A PlayStation 5 console and a compatible copy of Marvel’s Wolverine.
- Sufficient storage for the game and any updates; the official information cited here does not state an install size.
- A DualSense controller or another supported PS5 control method.

The Standard Edition is the straightforward choice if you want Logan’s campaign, combat and post-game modes without paying for cosmetic extras or additional Technique Points. It also makes the most sense when a current sale makes the price gap to Deluxe larger than the value you place on the bonus progression.

Digital Deluxe is aimed at players who want the exclusive suits and claws and would use three additional Technique Points. The cosmetic items do not unlock a separate story or platform, so buy this edition for presentation and progression preference rather than access to different missions.
Choose themed hardware only for design or collecting
The Battle Yellow and Adamantium accessories do not improve combat, unlock content or change the game’s PS5 requirements. Compare model compatibility, regional stock and the live price before treating a console cover or controller as a purchase priority.

Is Marvel’s Wolverine available now?
Yes. It released September 15, 2026 and is currently listed as available on PS5.
Can I play it on PC?
The current official information lists PS5 exclusively and contains no official PC announcement. A future platform decision would be a separate announcement.
Is this a multiplayer game?
