Why some articles say 15 characters
The July 2026 open-beta guide lists 15 playable characters for the beta build. That was a limited test selection, not the launch roster size. The beta ran for 72 hours, from July 24 through July 26, 2026, on PS5, Steam and Epic Games Store.
Named characters confirmed in official material
The February announcement identifies the Unbreakable X-Men as Storm, Magik, Wolverine and Danger. The beta guide also names Blade among its playable selection. Local Versus
Local Versus supports fighting a friend or the CPU on the same system. This is the appropriate mode when you want an offline match without entering online matchmaking.

Start-Up Battle appears in the beta’s mode list as an introductory battle option. The available guide does not provide a full rules explanation, so treat it as a documented mode name rather than assuming a particular tutorial or progression format.
Training Mode

The 10 announced voice languages are English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Mandarin. What post-launch roster updates are planned?
The announced Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass includes four additional playable characters and one new stage after launch. Platform availability for the premium editions
The US PlayStation FAQ says Digital Deluxe and Ultimate are available on both PS5 and PC, and that each includes the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass. Confirm the edition name, contents and price on the store for your region before checkout because the announcement figures are dated and may no longer match the live listing.
