Yes. FRVR reported on October 8, 2026, that Marvel Rivals game director Guangyun Chen said the team is “doing everything we can to prevent any leaks for this important event.” The goal is to protect surprises tied to Avengers: Doomsday’s plot. The developers have not disclosed what safeguards they are using or how effective those measures have been.
What is Marvel Rivals’ Path to Doomsday?
Path to Doomsday is a series of Marvel Rivals modes and events that revisit moments from the Avengers films leading into Avengers: Doomsday. In a D23 interview, Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo described the series as drawing on iconic scenes from four films, with Loki linking the events.
- The Avengers
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Avengers: Infinity War
- Avengers: Endgame
D23 said new modes and events inspired by the Infinity Saga would arrive from April through October, followed by new in-game content in December to celebrate the film.
What was described about the first mode?
In a March 12, 2026 interview reported by Kotaku, developers described an early version of the first event mode: one player controls Loki against six other players, using a new skill set for that mode. That is an interview-era description, not confirmation that every gameplay detail remains unchanged.

What anti-leak steps have the developers confirmed?
Chen’s October statement confirms the team’s intention to prevent leaks, especially those that could reveal film-plot surprises. It does not identify specific technical controls, changes to staff access, or other procedures, and the reviewed reports do not establish whether the effort has prevented leaks.
Chen had discussed the challenge earlier. In an April 9, 2026 FRVR interview report, he said leaks can be frustrating for a team that has spent a year or more planning a major reveal. He also said the team was working to improve its technical capabilities to prevent more leaks, while adding: “Our team remains 100% focused on developing real content updates rather than chasing ghosts in the code.”

- After being ensnared in a death trap, an unconventional team of antiheroes assembles and embarks on a dangerous mission. Forced to confront the darkest corners of their pasts, will the group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and prevail?
Is the film’s release date confirmed by these reports?
No exact release date can be settled from these reports alone. The October FRVR story says the film releases “later this month,” while D23 describes additional Marvel Rivals content arriving in December to celebrate it. Because those timelines conflict, treat the precise date as unverified here rather than relying on either phrasing as definitive.
