You can try to compress a PDF toward 200 KB or convert JPG images into a PDF using browser-based tools, without installing desktop software. A 200 KB setting is a target, not a promise: whether a file reaches it depends on the document and how much image data can be reduced without harming readability. Check the downloaded file’s size and quality before sharing or submitting it.
Compress a PDF toward 200 KB
Compression tools do not all work the same way. ClientSide says its tool rewrites PDFs with pdf-lib and can remove redundant objects, but may preserve image data. That can help with structural overhead, but it may do little for a PDF dominated by large images. Compressify describes a different approach for scanned PDFs: it renders pages using PDF.js and Canvas, and offers file-size targets including 200 KB, along with quality and resolution controls.
Those controls involve a trade-off. Lower image quality or resolution can reduce file size, but can also make text and pictures harder to read. The cited tool pages do not establish a universally safe setting or guarantee that every input can be reduced to exactly 200 KB.

Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Open a browser tool that offers PDF compression and select the PDF from your device.
- If the tool offers a 200 KB target, choose it. Otherwise, adjust its quality or resolution controls gradually.
- Download the result and check its actual size. If it remains over the limit, reduce quality or resolution further only if the pages remain legible.
- Open the downloaded PDF and inspect its pages at the size people will view or print them.
Convert JPG images to a PDF in the browser
PDFBox describes a browser-side converter that reads selected images into browser memory, uses JavaScript libraries to build the PDF, and creates a downloadable file as a browser Blob. That describes the provider’s implementation; it is not an independent audit of the site’s network behavior.

- Open a JPG-to-PDF tool and select the image or images stored on your device.
- Use the tool’s available options to create the PDF and download the result.
- Open the PDF to confirm that it contains the intended images and that their page orientation, placement, and readability are suitable.
Do not assume all converters handle multiple images, image ordering, page sizing, orientation, or metadata in the same way. Check the controls and inspect the output before relying on it.
What “no upload” means for privacy
ClientSide says files are read into RAM and processed in the browser tab with pdf-lib and PDF.js; its page states, “Your documents never leave your device.” PDFBox also describes client-side JavaScript processing and local Blob output. These are provider statements, not independent security audits. A website’s code, dependencies, analytics, and network behavior can change, so the statements should not be treated as an absolute guarantee for every site or visit.

If a document is sensitive, consider whether you are comfortable relying on the specific provider’s explanation of its processing. Avoid selecting a tool solely because its page uses the phrase “no upload.”
Password-protected PDFs and other limits
ClientSide says its tool cannot read a password-protected PDF without the password. Other tools may behave differently, but the cited documentation does not establish that all browser tools support encrypted PDFs. If your file is protected, use the password with a tool that explicitly supports it.
