Verdict: The Gigaset GS6 Pro is a conditional buy, not an easy value pick. Its removable battery, IP68 protection, wireless charging, expandable storage and stated security support through November 2032 make it unusual. But an independent review found recurring stutters and weak cameras, so buyers who care most about speed or photography should compare mainstream mid-range phones before choosing it.
The model assessed here is the current GS6 Pro, not the older GS5 PRO SE. “Made in Germany” describes where the phone is developed and manufactured; it does not mean every component is German-made.
What does “Made in Germany” mean for the GS6 Pro?
Gigaset says the GS6 family is Made in Germany. Notebookcheck’s review says the GS6 Pro is manufactured in Bocholt and that Gigaset locates development, production, final assembly, final inspection, quality control and service operations in Germany. That is a claim about the phone’s manufacturing and company operations, not the origin of every part.
The OLED display, MediaTek processor and Samsung camera sensors are sourced from suppliers, according to Notebookcheck. In other words, the phone is assembled and developed in Germany, but its bill of materials is international. If country of manufacture is central to your decision, confirm the claim for the exact model and unit you plan to buy.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
What do you get for the money?
Gigaset lists both GS6 models with 8 GB of RAM. The GS6 has 128 GB of storage, while the GS6 Pro has 256 GB; storage can be expanded with a microSD card. The manufacturer’s specifications for the family also include a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 5G, eSIM, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
The GS6 family’s stated battery capacity is 5,300 mAh. Gigaset lists 30 W wired and 15 W wireless charging, as well as IP68 protection. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish real-world battery life or performance.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
The unusual feature combination
The GS6 Pro’s clearest practical distinction is a battery you can remove and replace without giving up wireless charging or a waterproof-rated chassis. Gigaset says an original replacement battery is available through its online shop. That may make battery replacement more convenient than relying on service for a sealed handset, although the available evidence does not quantify how many extra years of use it provides.

How well does the GS6 Pro perform?
Notebookcheck’s review, published August 23, 2026, praises the OLED screen and highlights the storage expansion, wireless charging, IP68 protection and long security-support period. The reviewer also found important compromises: recurring stutters in everyday use, a slow system-on-chip and cameras that compare poorly with Samsung and Xiaomi mid-range alternatives.

- Travel Must-Have for People On the Go: A must-have travel accessory for flights, flying, airports, air travel, airplanes, planes, international trips, cruises, and long travel days. Key gadget for your airport haul, travel accessories and must-haves.
The review additionally lists USB 2.0, limited Bluetooth codec support and poor display color calibration among the drawbacks. The 120 Hz refresh-rate specification does not by itself guarantee consistently smooth use; the reviewer’s experience was that the phone could stutter in ordinary tasks.
Those are review findings, not a market-wide performance measurement. Still, they matter if you expect a mid-range phone to feel responsive or to take competitive photos. Notebookcheck reviewer Marcus Herbrich described the German development and production as involving compromises against mid-range Xiaomi and Samsung models, particularly for cameras and chipset speed.

How long will it receive software support?
Gigaset’s support table lists the GS6 and GS6 Pro as 2025 launches with Android 15, planned upgrades to Android 16 and Android 17, and an update-support end date of November 2032. Notebookcheck describes this as seven years of security patches but only two major Android-version upgrades. These are different measures: long security support does not mean the phone will receive new Android versions for the whole period.

What is the GS6 Pro price, and is it good value?
Prices depend on model, seller, stock and date. Notebookcheck reported GS6 Pro availability from around €380, including Amazon Germany, in its August 2026 review. Separately, Gigaset’s German product page displayed €339 for a selected GS6 configuration when accessed in 2026. Those figures refer to different models or configurations and should not be treated as a direct price comparison.
Check the live listing before buying: confirm that it is the 256 GB GS6 Pro rather than the 128 GB GS6, and verify the seller, price and availability. There is no single established value verdict that applies regardless of local price or priorities. The extra cost may make sense if the removable battery, German manufacturing, IP68 protection and wireless charging are important to you. If you mainly want fast everyday performance or strong cameras, compare alternatives available at the same price.
Who should buy it—and who should skip it?
| Consider the GS6 Pro if… | Look elsewhere if… |
|---|---|
| You want a user-replaceable battery, expandable storage, wireless charging and IP68 protection in one phone. | You prioritize a consistently responsive interface; Notebookcheck reported recurring stutters and a slow chipset. |
| German development and manufacturing are important to your purchase, and you understand that components come from international suppliers. | Camera quality is a leading priority; the review found the cameras weak against mainstream mid-range alternatives. |
| You value stated security support through November 2032 and can accept planned major upgrades only through Android 17. | You want more than two planned major Android-version upgrades. |
For a repair-minded buyer who values its unusual hardware combination, the GS6 Pro has a credible case. For buyers judging value mainly by speed and camera quality, the review’s findings make it a cautious choice rather than a clear bargain.
Do not confuse it with the older GS5 PRO SE
The GS5 PRO SE is a separate, older product, and its specifications and update history do not apply to the GS6 Pro. Gigaset’s GS5 PRO SE page lists Android 13, a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, a Helio G85 processor, a removable 4,500 mAh battery and rear cameras rated at 64 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP. The page also lists an Android 13 system update from April 2026 with a February 2026 Google security update. Those details should not be used to assess the GS6 Pro.
