LuLu Group’s first reported hypermarket in Chennai was scheduled to open at Shenoy Nagar Metro Station on 12 October 2026 at 4:00 PM. Pre-opening reports also said a LuLu Daily convenience store was planned at Chennai Central Metro Station. The reports described station-based retail outlets—not a full-scale LuLu mall—and do not confirm whether either store is now operating.
When was the Chennai LuLu hypermarket due to open?
Local pre-opening coverage gave the date as 12 October 2026. Live Chennai specified a 4:00 PM opening time. Because the available reports were published before the scheduled launch, they establish the announced timing, not that the opening took place. Live Chennai’s preview and Samayam Tamil’s report covered the planned opening.

The reported location is Shenoy Nagar Metro Station. The coverage describes a retail outlet at the station, but does not provide enough detail to establish its exact entrance, floor, or whether access is within the paid metro area. Check current station or store information before making a trip.
