Bottom line: The Logitech G PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED is a premium wireless gaming headset with a detachable 48 kHz/16-bit microphone, 50 mm graphene drivers, Bluetooth and a manufacturer-rated battery of up to 70 hours. At $249.99 in Logitech’s US store (a 2026 availability snapshot), it is aimed at competitive players who value flexible microphone processing and long cable-free sessions. Logitech’s specifications are clear; independent measurements of microphone quality, latency, comfort and endurance were not available for this assessment, so those performance questions remain open.
What the PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED includes
The PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED is Logitech G’s 7.1 wireless gaming headset with both LIGHTSPEED wireless and Bluetooth. Its published hardware and software features are:

The detachable boom uses a 48 kHz/16-bit full-bandwidth omnidirectional microphone. That is a higher-resolution published specification than many basic gaming headsets, and removing the boom is useful when you switch from voice chat to music or video. BLUE VO!CE processing in G HUB adds software controls for shaping the signal.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Those numbers do not by themselves prove broadcast-quality speech, rejection of keyboard noise or consistent level handling. No independent recording, frequency-response measurement or latency test was available here. If clear team callouts are your priority, plan to audition the headset with your own voice-chat software and microphone settings rather than treating the specification as a guarantee.
Sound and spatial cues
Logitech uses 50 mm PRO-G Graphene drivers and supplies a 10-band parametric EQ. The EQ is the more consequential feature for competitive players: it lets you tune the balance for footsteps, reloads and voice frequencies instead of accepting a fixed factory profile. The headset is also identified as a 7.1 gaming model, but published specifications alone cannot establish imaging accuracy, positional consistency or whether virtual surround helps in a particular game.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
There was no independent frequency-response chart, distortion result or blind listening comparison available. General game detail, music quality and spatial performance therefore require hands-on testing with your games and sources.
Wireless modes and battery expectations
LIGHTSPEED provides the headset’s dedicated gaming connection, while Bluetooth offers a second way to connect compatible devices. The dual-mode design is practical if you move between a gaming system and a phone, but the supplied material does not state supported Bluetooth codecs, simultaneous mixing behavior, range measurements or console-specific compatibility. Verify those details for your exact setup before purchase.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Logitech’s “up to 70 hours” claim is a ceiling, not a guaranteed session time. Keep the charging cable accessible for long events, and check the G HUB battery indicator rather than relying on the headline figure alone.
Comfort for long sessions
The comfort design combines memory foam, a perforated headband, rotating ear cups and two pad-material options: leatherette and velour. Velour can feel less warm over long sessions, while leatherette may provide a tighter seal; the better choice depends on your glasses, climate and preferred bass response. Clamp force, total weight and heat buildup were not independently measured, so comfort remains personal and should be checked during your return window.

How it compares with the PRO X2 LIGHTSPEED
The clearest published generational change is endurance: Logitech says PRO X3 lasts up to 40% longer than the previous generation, with a rated ceiling of 70 hours. The X3 also lists Bluetooth, graphene drivers, the 48 kHz/16-bit detachable microphone and a 10-band parametric EQ. The available material does not provide a complete, independently verified X2 specification or side-by-side test, so it cannot establish how much microphone, imaging or comfort performance changed beyond those listed features.
| Decision point | What the X3 establishes | What still needs testing |
|---|---|---|
| Voice chat | Detachable 48 kHz/16-bit boom and BLUE VO!CE option | Clarity, noise rejection and processing artifacts |
| Game audio | 50 mm graphene drivers, 7.1 designation and parametric EQ | Imaging, detail and surround usefulness |
| Mobility | LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth; up to 70-hour rating | Latency, range, codec behavior and actual runtime |
| Comfort | Memory foam, perforated headband, rotating cups and two pad materials | Clamp, weight and heat during extended use |
Is $249.99 good value?
At the current US price, the PRO X3 competes in the premium wireless tier. It makes the strongest case for esports-focused PC players who will use the detachable boom, tune a parametric EQ and benefit from long intervals between charges. For occasional gaming, wired listening or buyers who do not need Bluetooth and software microphone controls, the price is harder to justify. Console buyers should confirm platform support and available features before ordering because those details are not specified in the published information.
Best Value

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.

What Logitech’s athlete testing does—and does not—show
Logitech says more than 40 esports athletes took part in blind testing and that nearly 100 athletes contributed to the PRO X3 design process. The company describes this as player-informed development; Thadeous Cooper, Logitech’s Head of PRO Series Marketing, said, “The best PRO gear is designed with players, not just for them.” These are Logitech statements about its process, not independent evidence of microphone, latency, comfort or sound performance.
Quick Recap
Buying checklist
- Confirm that your computer or console supports the connection mode and features you need.
- Decide whether you will use the detachable boom and BLUE VO!CE controls; they are central to the premium price.
- Choose leatherette or velour pads based on heat, seal and wearing comfort.
- Test voice chat, positional audio and Bluetooth switching during the retailer’s return period.
- Compare your measured routine with the “up to” battery rating instead of assuming a fixed 70-hour result.
