The Logitech Mobi Fold is easy to pack and awkward to recommend for long work sessions. It folds into a compact Bluetooth mouse with no receiver to carry, but its narrow, low shape and touch-scroll strip give up comfort and wheel precision. It makes most sense as a travel-first mouse for occasional use—not as a comfortable all-day replacement.
What makes the Mobi Fold useful for travel?
Logitech introduced the Mobi Fold in June 2026 as its first foldable mouse. Open it to turn it on; fold it to turn it off. It connects over Bluetooth, so ordinary use does not require a separate receiver. Logitech says it can pair with up to three devices, including Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux systems. Logitech’s product page lists a US price of $79.99, but price, colors, and availability can change.
In a July 2026 review, PCWorld contributor Mattias Inghe reported a weight of 79 g and dimensions of 5.7 × 6.6 × 2.1 cm folded, compared with 5.7 × 12.2 × 3.3 cm unfolded. The folded footprint is the central advantage: it takes up little bag space and unfolds into a ready-to-use mouse. Logitech also describes it as having quiet clicks for shared spaces; that is a manufacturer-described feature, not a guarantee that every user will prefer its feel.
Is the Mobi Fold comfortable for long use?
Independent reviewers identify comfort as the main trade-off. Inghe wrote, “It’s far from the most comfortable mouse I’ve ever used,” describing the design as narrow and flat, with a triangular shape he did not find ergonomic. He did like its silicone surface and button resistance. RTINGS likewise says the shape is not particularly comfortable for long stretches. These are reviewer judgments, not a universal ergonomic measurement; hand size, grip, and work habits can affect how it feels.
#1 Best Overall
- Ultra-portable mouse: Small, foldable, and ultra-thin, this lightweight mouse is ideal for on-the-go use; slips into your pocket or bag; unfold to power on, fold to power off
- Comfortable compact mouse: 22% less muscle strain compared to using a laptop’s trackpad (1)
- Multi-Device and OS: Connect with Bluetooth on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Android, iPadOS, Googlebook OS; Swift Pair and Fast Pair certified; hop across 3 devices with Easy-Switch; works with Logi Bolt, sold separately
- Precise tracking and scrolling: 4K DPI tracking and Adaptive Touch Scrolling offers line-by-line accuracy and hyperfast navigation
- Quiet clicks: Less distraction and more focus; ideal for shared spaces and public environments
Logitech’s product page cites a 2025 ErgoLab study of 30 people that found 22% lower forearm muscle strain versus an integrated trackpad. That is a Logitech study claim, and the methodology details and independent validation are not established here. It does not show that the Mobi Fold will be comfortable for every user, especially during extended sessions.
How does scrolling and clicking work?
The Mobi Fold uses a touch strip instead of a physical scroll wheel. RTINGS found touch scrolling imprecise, so people who rely on controlled, repeatable wheel movement should treat this as a meaningful compromise. It has four buttons. There is no dedicated physical middle button, but PCWorld says Logi Options+ can assign a button to middle-click on Windows or Mac; the reviewer describes setup as fiddly.

- Quiet clicks: Less distraction and more focus; ideal for shared spaces and public environments
For everyday browsing and desktop use, RTINGS considers raw performance adequate. It reports a 125 Hz polling rate and high, inconsistent click latency, and does not recommend the mouse for competitive gaming.
Battery, charging, and compatibility
The setup guide lists a PAW3222 optical sensor, adjustable 400–4,000 DPI, Bluetooth Low Energy, and Logi Options+ support on Windows and macOS. It specifies Windows 10 or later, macOS 12 or later, Android 12 or later, and iPadOS 15 or later, as well as ChromeOS and Linux. Basic functions work without the software on systems other than Windows and macOS. See Logitech’s setup guide for setup and compatibility details.

The mouse has an internal 100 mAh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that charges over USB-C. PCWorld reports it is not a standard user-replaceable battery and that its test unit included no cable or charger. Battery-life claims differ: PCWorld lists up to 20 days per full charge, while Logitech’s June 2026 launch announcement claimed up to 30 days and 22 hours of use from a one-minute charge. These are attributed figures, not a single independently established runtime applicable to every user.
How does it compare with conventional travel mice?
RTINGS compares the Mobi Fold with Logitech’s Pebble Mouse 2 M350s and MX Anywhere 3S. The choice is chiefly between minimum packed size and more conventional controls and shape:

| Mouse | Packed size and shape | Scrolling and controls | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logitech Mobi Fold | Folds smaller than the Pebble Mouse 2 M350s and MX Anywhere 3S. | Touch strip; four buttons. | Travelers who prioritize the smallest packed form and can accept touch scrolling. |
| Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 M350s | Larger packed form than the Mobi Fold; RTINGS describes the Mobi Fold as packing smaller. | Physical scroll wheel. | People who want a wheel but still want a compact mouse. |
| Logitech MX Anywhere 3S | Less compact when packed than the Mobi Fold; more conventional shape. | Physical wheel and side buttons. | People who favor a more conventional shape, wheel, and extra buttons over the smallest packed size. |
Comfort is subjective, so there is no single best option for every traveler. If possible, try the shape before committing to it for full workdays. Check current pricing and compatibility for each model before buying; the comparison above addresses the controls and form factor, not changing offers.

- Consider it if you need a mouse that packs especially small, prefer Bluetooth over carrying a receiver, and expect to use it intermittently while traveling.
- Look elsewhere if you need a comfortable mouse for long sessions, depend on precise physical-wheel scrolling, or want a mouse suited to competitive gaming.
- Check before purchase if middle-click is central to your workflow: it requires a software reassignment rather than a dedicated physical button.
Logitech’s launch announcement also cited its own research saying 72% of professionals own a mouse and 26% use one in public. The underlying report, sample, and methodology are not established here, so those figures should be read as Logitech-attributed context, not independent industry data.
