The Logitech Mobi Fold is most convincing as a mouse you can slip into a bag and actually use away from a desk—not as a no-compromise everyday desktop mouse. It folds flat for transport, connects to as many as three devices over Bluetooth, and opens into a conventional mouse shape. But its touch-sensitive scrolling is less dependable than a physical wheel, and review findings differ on how loud its clicks are.
What makes the Mobi Fold different?
The Mobi Fold folds in half for carrying and opens into a mouse shape for use. Logitech says it turns on when unfolded and powers off when folded, so there is no separate power switch to manage. Its compact folded form is the product’s central appeal: it takes up less room in a bag than a full-size mouse while giving laptop users a mouse option when a trackpad is not ideal.
Logitech lists an adaptive touch-scroll surface instead of a conventional wheel and a 4K DPI sensor. Its product page also describes the mouse as ambidextrous and supports switching among paired devices with Easy-Switch. Logitech says it connects to up to three devices over Bluetooth and supports Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux; check Logitech’s current compatibility guidance for OS-version requirements before buying. How small is it when folded?
The setup-guide search result lists the mouse at 122 × 57 × 33 mm (4.80 × 2.24 × 1.30 in) when open and 66 × 57 × 21 mm (2.60 × 2.24 × 0.83 in) when folded, with a weight of 79 g (2.79 oz). Tom’s Guide gives broadly similar open dimensions and weight, though its folded-height figure is not included. These measurements come from published specifications and review reporting, not an independent measurement in this article. Logitech setup guide · Tom’s Guide review

What is it like to use?
Portability and comfort
In Ashley Thieme’s Tom’s Guide review, she found the folded mouse easy to store and its arched shape comfortable in her hand. She also reported that sensors deactivate the buttons while the mouse is being lifted or folded, helping prevent accidental clicks during handling. Those are her reported experiences, not a guarantee that the shape will suit every hand.
Touch scrolling instead of a wheel
There is no physical scroll wheel. Logitech presents adaptive touch scrolling as a feature, but Thieme found it could feel jumpy, overly sensitive, or unresponsive in her use. RTINGS likewise describes its touch scrolling as less precise than a standard wheel. If you rely on fine, predictable scrolling, this is the clearest compromise to consider before choosing the Mobi Fold. RTINGS review

Clicks and customization
Click volume is not consistent across the available reviews: Thieme described the clicks as loud, while RTINGS characterized them as very quiet. Treat that as a difference in reviewer findings rather than a universal sound level. Thieme also reported changing DPI and customizing two buttons through Logi Options+; software-based customization may matter if you want to tailor controls rather than use the default setup.

Tom’s Guide reports 32 days of battery life and a charge time of around 45 minutes. Those figures are review-page reporting, not a separately verified endurance test here. Thieme’s practical concern was that the charging-port position makes using the mouse while it is plugged in difficult. That matters most if you tend to work through a charge rather than topping up between trips.

Does it include a USB receiver?
The consumer Mobi Fold reviewed by Tom’s Guide uses Bluetooth, and the review says a Logi Bolt receiver is not included. Logitech’s launch announcement distinguishes a Mobi Fold for Business bundle that includes a Logi Bolt receiver. Do not assume that the consumer package contains one; verify the exact version and box contents in the listing for your market. Logitech launch announcement · Tom’s Guide review
Who should choose the Mobi Fold?
- Choose it for mobile work if bag space matters and you want a mouse that folds away between sessions.
- Consider another shape if a touch surface is a poor substitute for the tactile precision of a scroll wheel, or if you need a shape that suits your hand for long sessions. RTINGS also notes that comfort with the Mobi Fold’s shape may vary by user.
- Check the connection you need if your setup depends on a USB receiver rather than Bluetooth; confirm whether the particular version includes the receiver.
As context, Logitech says its ErgoLab study of 30 people found 22% less forearm muscle strain with a mouse than with an integrated laptop trackpad. That is Logitech’s own study claim, not an independently verified result here, and it does not establish that the Mobi Fold will produce the same result for an individual user.
