The Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 LIGHTSPEED is a strong fit if you want a very light wireless gaming mouse and value its competitive-play specifications more than extra controls. Logitech lists it at 60 g, but the streamlined design comes with a practical compromise: PC Gamer says DPI changes require G HUB, and Tom’s Guide flags the price. Whether it is worth buying depends on your local price, how the shape fits your hand, and whether low weight matters more to you than convenience features.
What the Superlight 2 offers
Logitech specifies a 125 × 63.5 × 40 mm body weighing 60 g. Its HERO 2 sensor is rated for up to 44,000 DPI and tracking speeds above 888 IPS; LIGHTSPEED wireless supports polling rates up to 8 kHz. These are manufacturer-published maximums, not independent measurements or settings every player needs. A high ceiling does not, by itself, mean better aim or a noticeable improvement in play.
Logitech describes the LIGHTFORCE switches as a hybrid optical-mechanical design and rates them for 70 million clicks. That is the manufacturer’s rating, not a guarantee of an individual mouse’s lifespan. The product page also says G HUB supports X/Y sensitivity adjustment and adjustable lift-off tolerance, making the software relevant if you want to tune those sensor behaviors.

Pros and cons at a glance
| Pros | Cons and trade-offs |
|---|---|
| 60 g listed weight appeals to players who prefer a lightweight mouse. | Tom’s Guide describes it as pricey; the amount depends on retailer, region, and date. |
| HERO 2 tracking and LIGHTSPEED polling have high published ceilings. | Those maximum specifications may not provide a perceptible benefit for every player or setup. |
| G HUB supports X/Y sensitivity and lift-off tolerance adjustments. | PC Gamer says DPI must be adjusted through G HUB; there is no dedicated onboard DPI selector. |
| Logitech lists grip tape and a USB-A to USB-C cable among the box contents. | The streamlined controls omit features some buyers may prefer, such as extra side buttons or RGB lighting. |
Reasons to choose it
Low weight is the priority
At Logitech’s listed 60 g, the mouse’s clearest appeal is its light build. If you already know that you prefer lighter mice, that may matter more to you than added buttons, lighting, or onboard adjustment options. Shape and hand fit remain personal, so the weight alone cannot establish whether it will suit you.
You value its competitive-gaming positioning
The HERO 2 sensor and LIGHTSPEED wireless specifications position the Superlight 2 as a performance-focused option. Tom’s Guide’s October 5, 2026 gaming-mouse roundup calls it an outstanding option and highlights competitive-play performance, while also flagging its price and lack of onboard DPI selection. That is the publication’s editorial assessment, not a lab result reproduced here.

You want the included basics
Logitech Support lists a USB-A to USB-C charging/data cable and grip tape in the box, along with the LIGHTSPEED USB adapter, receiver extension adapter, optional aperture door with PTFE foot, and user manual. Since the cable and grip tape are included, buying more of either is optional; check compatibility before choosing any extras.
Reasons to look elsewhere
You change DPI without desktop software
PC Gamer reports that DPI must be adjusted through G HUB. If you often switch sensitivity and want to do it without desktop software, this is a meaningful inconvenience rather than a minor specification difference. The available evidence does not establish an onboard DPI selector.

You want more controls, ambidextrous buttons, or lighting
The Superlight 2 keeps its controls streamlined. In RTINGS’ comparison updated May 21, 2026, the G PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED is described as offering customizable buttons on both sides, a truly ambidextrous configuration, and an RGB lighting zone that the Superlight 2 lacks. Those are preference differences, not proof that one mouse is universally better.
The current price is hard to justify
Tom’s Guide describes the Superlight 2 as pricey, but prices vary by retailer and region and can change over time. Check the price where you intend to buy rather than relying on a figure from another market or date. If the premium is substantial, weigh it against the feature you are actually paying for: a lightweight design and performance-focused positioning, not a broad control set.

Superlight 2 or G PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED?
RTINGS’ comparison updated May 21, 2026 characterizes the Superlight 2 as the lighter, more premium model, with better sensor and click-latency performance and a higher maximum polling rate. It describes the G PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED as the option with true ambidextrous controls and RGB lighting. Use that comparison as a preference framework rather than a universal verdict:
- Choose the Superlight 2 if low weight and its performance positioning take priority.
- Consider the G PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED if customizable controls on both sides, ambidextrous use, or RGB matter more.
- For either mouse, compare current local price, shape and hand fit, dedicated DPI controls, software dependence, and polling capability before deciding.

How to decide if it is worth buying
- Check fit first. Compare the listed 125 × 63.5 × 40 mm dimensions with a mouse shape you already know works for your hand and grip.
- Decide whether 60 g is a real priority. The weight is the most direct reason to choose this model; the maximum DPI and polling figures are not benefits everyone will notice.
- Consider how you adjust sensitivity. If you need frequent DPI changes away from G HUB, the reported software requirement may rule it out.
- Compare features and current local prices. Decide whether side controls, ambidextrous buttons, or RGB are worth more to you than the Superlight 2’s lighter, streamlined approach.
- Account for what is included. The listed box contents already include a charging/data cable and grip tape.
Verdict
The Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 is most compelling for someone who specifically wants a lightweight wireless gaming mouse and is comfortable with G HUB for DPI changes. Its published sensor and polling-rate ceilings support its performance-focused positioning, but they do not guarantee a visible advantage in every game or setup. If price, onboard convenience, extra controls, ambidextrous options, or lighting matter more than low weight, compare alternatives before buying.
