Logitech CEO Hanneke Faber says the company is using AI in everyday employee workflows, in preparation for board meetings, and in an experimental tool for game streamers. But she does not describe an AI as a board member: the board-preparation tool offers input on confidential materials, while people remain responsible for the discussion and decisions.
Is an AI agent formally a member of Logitech’s board?
No. Faber explicitly distinguished Logitech’s use of AI in board preparation from formal board membership. The tool reviews materials and helps shape the conversation; it is not a director, does not have a board vote, and is not described as making corporate decisions.

Training, tools, and experimentation
Faber described an approach that pairs employee training with an internal AI workspace, responsible-AI principles, and regular reviews of practical breakthroughs. Taken together, those measures suggest a company trying to make AI experimentation accessible while giving it organizational guardrails. The interview does not detail the responsible-AI rules or explain how the regular reviews work.
Not every experiment succeeds. Faber said some of the nearly 2,000 agents were “duds,” and framed that as acceptable because Logitech had not made a major investment in each one. What does Logitech’s AI streaming agent do?
Faber cited an AI streaming agent Logitech built with Nvidia for gamers who stream gameplay. She said it can be set to six selectable modes. The interview presents it as an example of a creator-focused use case, but does not name a retail product or establish its release status, price, or availability. It should not be taken as a product readers can currently buy.

The example illustrates a different role for an agent than the board-preparation tool: it is aimed at helping with a creator’s streaming task, rather than reviewing confidential corporate materials. What is Faber’s approach to AI in hardware?
Faber’s stated product principle is to start with a human problem and ask whether AI can help, rather than adding AI for its own sake. She connected that view to Logitech’s hardware business with the observation that AI needs “hands,” “eyes,” and “ears.” In this framing, devices can provide ways for people to interact with AI and for AI systems to perceive or act in the physical world.
That is a strategic argument, not a promise that every Logitech device will include AI or that adding AI automatically makes hardware more useful. What does “The Great Tech Divide” mean here?

What else did Faber say about tariffs and manufacturing?
