The Shores is additional content for Little Nightmares III. Bandai Namco lists it for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. It can be purchased separately, but is also included in the Deluxe Edition and Secrets of The Spiral Expansion Pass. Check your game edition and add-on entitlements before buying; the publisher specifically notes the Expansion Pass inclusion. Bandai Namco’s announcement is dated September 30, 2026; PowerPyx lists October 1, 2026 as the release date.

You need Little Nightmares III to play the chapter. The official game page describes solo play with an AI companion or online co-op with a friend; the DLC announcement does not specify whether The Shores has any different co-op behavior. The Shores announcement provides the DLC premise and platform list, while the official game page describes the base game.

Low and Alone make their way through flooded, hazard-filled areas toward a lighthouse beacon. Expect waterways, submerged passages, puzzles, and leeches associated with The Leech Monster; the official premise gives the necessary setting without requiring more story detail.

PowerPyx says to start from chapter select by choosing the mirror labeled “The Shores.” It recommends getting the collectibles and optional challenges during the same run. How to handle the missable no-death trophy
PowerPyx identifies See Ya, Suckers as the sole missable trophy and interprets its requirement as finishing without dying. However, its October 3, 2026 guide says the trophy was bugged or unobtainable at publication. The report is not publisher-confirmed, and the available information does not establish whether a later patch fixed it. Check the current version’s patch notes or recent trophy reports before committing to a no-death run.

The guide suggests restarting at a checkpoint if death seems imminent. Treat that as third-party advice rather than a confirmed workaround: it does not prove that a restart preserves the no-death condition or resolves the reported bug. PowerPyx also says each of the eight profile save slots has one autosave and there are no manual saves. For missed collectibles or challenges, use chapter select rather than counting on manual rollback.

Shipshape requires all 11 paper boats. PowerPyx’s guide includes their locations and a route through the chapter; use its collectible coverage while progressing so you do not have to replay more than necessary. If one is missed, the guide says chapter select can be used for cleanup. The guide’s route and trophy requirements are at PowerPyx.

Efficient one-run approach
- Open chapter select. Choose the mirror labeled “The Shores,” as described by PowerPyx.
- Follow a collectible route. Keep the 11 paper boats in mind as you explore, and complete the ball and sandcastle challenges when encountered.
- Protect the no-death attempt only if appropriate. Since the guide’s bug report is dated and not publisher-confirmed, check current status first; do not assume checkpoint restarting is a verified fix.
- Finish the chapter. Wave Goodbye is awarded for completing the DLC. Near the end, set up the basket-and-brick throw for 3-Pointer.
- Clean up through chapter select. Replay the relevant part for missed tasks rather than expecting a manual save rollback.
Release-date and source notes
There is a one-day discrepancy in the published dates: Bandai Namco Europe’s release announcement is dated September 30, 2026, while PowerPyx lists October 1, 2026. The publisher is the source for platform availability, the DLC’s inclusion in editions or passes, and the story premise; PowerPyx supplies the trophy requirements and its completion estimates.
