Little Kitty, Big City on mobile does not currently support game controllers. Double Dagger Studio’s Mobile FAQ answers “Can I use a controller?” with “Not at this time.” The mobile edition is therefore designed to be played with touch input. The developer confirms that controls were rebuilt for mobile, but its published materials do not provide a button-by-button touch map or confirm whether on-screen controls can be moved, resized, or remapped.
The mobile version launched on October 12, 2026, for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets, with China listed as a later rollout. This guide separates what is confirmed from what is not documented, and explains how mobile differs from the PC and console versions.
Does Little Kitty, Big City Mobile support a controller?
No. Double Dagger Studio’s Mobile FAQ currently states: “Not at this time.” That means an Xbox, PlayStation, or generic Bluetooth controller is not an officially supported input method for the mobile edition.
You can still pair a controller with your phone or tablet at the operating-system level, but pairing does not make the game support it. If the game ignores button presses, that is consistent with the developer’s stated mobile limitation rather than evidence that your controller is defective. Do not use the PC control layout as a setup guide for mobile.

Why PC controller information can be misleading
The Steam listing for the PC version advertises full controller support. That statement applies to the PC build only. Mobile is a separate edition with its own input implementation, so PC or console button mappings cannot be assumed to exist on iPhone, iPad, or Android.
Controller support could change in a future mobile update. Until Double Dagger Studio changes the FAQ or release notes, treat touch as the only supported control method.
How do the mobile touch controls work?
The developer describes the mobile release as including “nearly all of the original adventure with controls rebuilt for mobile,” plus an exclusive mobile AR mode. This confirms that the mobile edition does not simply copy the PC or console input scheme. It has a touch-specific implementation intended for phones and tablets.
However, the official Mobile FAQ and storefront material reviewed do not publish the exact arrangement or function of every on-screen control. They do not establish whether movement uses a virtual stick, direct touch, swipes, or another gesture, and they do not document the gesture for each action. A diagram copied from a console guide could therefore give you incorrect instructions.

What you can safely expect
- The game presents a touch interface rather than a supported external gamepad interface.
- Controls may differ between a phone and a larger tablet because the mobile build must accommodate different screen sizes.
- The layout and gestures should be learned from the controls shown in your installed version, not from PC or console documentation.
- Camera and AR functions are mobile features, but they require the full game unlock rather than the trial.
How to identify the controls in your current build
- Install the current version available from your local App Store or Google Play listing.
- Start a new session and watch for any on-screen control hints or tutorial prompts.
- Open the game’s pause or main menu and look for an Options, Settings, Controls, or Accessibility section. The developer has not published a guaranteed menu path, so the wording and location may differ by version.
- Read each available control description before assuming a tap, swipe, or hold performs a particular action.
- Test movement and actions in a safe area before attempting a difficult platforming or exploration sequence.
If your build does not show a control guide or a dedicated controls page, that does not prove the feature is missing permanently; it only means the official materials do not document another method. Check the game’s current update notes and the developer’s Mobile FAQ for changes.
Can you move, resize, or remap the touch controls?
There is no confirmed answer in the published mobile materials. Double Dagger Studio does not specify whether the on-screen controls can be repositioned, resized, made more transparent, or assigned to different actions. It also does not list touch-sensitivity settings.
Do not assume that a control-customization screen exists simply because another mobile game has one. Conversely, do not assume that controls are permanently fixed if your current version offers an undocumented or newly added option.

A practical settings check
- Open the in-game menu while playing.
- Inspect every section labelled Options, Settings, Controls, Input, Display, or Accessibility.
- Look for terms such as “layout,” “customize,” “button size,” “opacity,” “position,” “sensitivity,” or “reset.”
- If you change a setting, use any preview or reset command shown in that menu and test the result in gameplay.
- If no touch-layout controls appear, use the default interface and report the request through the developer’s current support channel rather than following an unverified remapping guide.
Device-level accessibility features, such as system touch accommodations, may affect how your phone or tablet interprets taps, but they are not a substitute for game-level remapping and are not documented by the developer as supported controls.

The key distinction is platform-specific support. A controller that works in the PC or console version does not become supported on mobile, and a mobile touch gesture should not be presumed to have a one-to-one keyboard or gamepad equivalent.
When did the mobile version launch, and where is it available?
Double Dagger Studio’s Mobile FAQ gives October 12, 2026, as the mobile launch date and lists iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets. It describes availability as worldwide except China, which is planned for a later release.
The studio homepage has also displayed “Coming to Mobile Late 2026.” That wording is broader and appears not to have been updated after the dated FAQ and live App Store listing. For current availability, use the dated FAQ and your local storefront rather than the undated homepage message.

iPhone and iPad requirements
The US App Store listing specifies iOS 13.0 or later and iPadOS 13.0 or later, and it names examples of supported devices. Apple’s local listing is the authority for your region and exact model compatibility; do not treat the US device examples as a complete worldwide list.
Android requirements
The developer notes that some Android devices do not meet Google Play requirements, but the official material reviewed does not state a universal minimum Android version or a complete compatible-device list. If the game is unavailable on your device, check the compatibility message in your local Google Play listing and your device’s supported-app status.

The US App Store listing allows a trial. In that listing, the game prompts you to buy the full version after you collect and turn in 25 Shinies to Crow. The purchase is a one-time full-game unlock, not a subscription, and progress carries over when the game is unlocked.
Camera and AR features are unavailable during the trial and require the full unlock. Store pricing, taxes, currency, and trial presentation are region-specific and can change, so the price shown in your local storefront is the one that applies to you.

Purchases are platform-specific
- The mobile purchase is separate from a PC or console purchase.
- An App Store purchase does not transfer to Google Play.
- A Google Play purchase does not transfer to the App Store.
- Changing from one mobile platform to another may therefore require buying the mobile version again.
Can you play offline, and do saves transfer?
According to the developer, an internet connection is required to download the game and buy the full version. After the download and purchase are complete, the mobile game can be played offline.
PC and console saves cannot transfer to mobile. Plan to begin a separate mobile save, even if you already finished the adventure on another platform. The same separation applies when comparing mobile purchases with PC or console ownership.
What to do when controls or input do not behave as expected
If a controller does nothing
- Confirm that you are running the mobile edition, not the PC version through a remote-play or streaming setup.
- Check the developer’s current Mobile FAQ for a change to the “Not at this time” controller policy.
- Install the latest version offered by your storefront; the US App Store listing showed version 1.0.4 at the time checked.
- Disconnect the controller and use the on-screen controls, which remain the supported mobile input method.
Pairing, unpairing, restarting, or changing Bluetooth settings cannot add game-level controller support that the mobile build does not implement.
If you cannot find a touch-control setting
Search all current in-game settings categories, then check the version’s update notes. Because the developer has not documented a touch map or customization options, the absence of a named remapping menu is currently an undocumented limitation, not a confirmed error.
If the game is unavailable for download
- Verify that your storefront region is supported; China is listed as a later rollout.
- On iPhone or iPad, check for iOS 13.0 or iPadOS 13.0 and confirm your exact model in the local App Store listing.
- On Android, read the Google Play compatibility notice because no universal minimum Android version is published.
- Make sure you have an internet connection for the initial download and purchase.
Bottom line for mobile players
Little Kitty, Big City Mobile is currently a touch-first game with no official controller support. Its controls were rebuilt for mobile, but the developer has not published a definitive touch diagram or confirmed layout and remapping options. Use the controls shown by your own build, keep the mobile and PC/console instructions separate, and verify storefront, version, and device details locally.
