LG AI Research’s latest financial forecasting work centers on EXAONE BI and its equity-forecast product, AEFS. LG says AEFS scores a stock’s expected price movement over the next four weeks and provides commentary explaining the forecast. But the available announcements do not show LG CEO William Cho discussing or endorsing AEFS directly: his cited remarks address LG’s broader AI strategy and customer experiences.
What are LG’s AI-powered forecasting tools?
LG AI Research describes EXAONE BI (EXAONE Business Intelligence) as a financial AI system in which multiple agents work together on data analysis, reasoning, forecasting, and commentary generation. Its AEFS product—short for AI-Powered Equity Forecast Score—uses EXAONE BI to produce an individual-stock score for expected price movement over the next four weeks, together with commentary explaining the rationale. LG’s announcement describes the product and its planned market applications.
LG frames the commentary as an explainability feature: rather than presenting only a score, the system is intended to offer reasoning behind it. That describes the product as LG presents it; it does not establish that the explanation or forecast has been independently validated.

In its Korean-language announcement, LG describes a workflow involving agents assigned to gather and curate information, forecast market and economic trends, identify important factors and anomalies, and compare scenarios before producing a final score. These are LG’s descriptions of the system’s design, not independently verified performance findings. LG AI Research’s announcement also gives company-reported coverage figures.

LG reported that AEFS analyzes approximately 8,000 stocks listed in Korea and the United States each day, including about 2,500 Korean-listed stocks. Those counts are company-reported scope figures, not an independent audit of daily coverage.
What did LG CEO William Cho say about AI forecasting?
Cho’s cited comments concern LG’s broader AI strategy, not EXAONE BI or AEFS. At LG’s CES World Premiere on January 6, 2025, he presented the company’s “Affectionate Intelligence” vision, built around connected devices, AI agents, and integrated services. LG quoted him describing AI in physical living spaces and experiences across home, mobility, commercial, and virtual environments. LG’s account of the event contains his remarks.

At LG World Premiere in January 2024, Cho discussed LG AI Brain forecasting customer needs from interactions between users and products, then coordinating physical devices to respond. That is a customer-experience and device-orchestration concept, distinct from forecasting stock movements. LG’s 2024 event account describes that vision.

The available sources do not show Cho speaking specifically about EXAONE BI or AEFS. It is accurate to describe the financial tools as LG AI Research initiatives, but not to say Cho personally introduced or endorsed them.

Who is developing LG’s financial forecasting services?
Korean-market collaboration with KOSCOM
On July 7, 2026, LG AI Research and KOSCOM announced a strategic agreement to develop an AI prediction and analysis service for the Korean stock market, combining EXAONE BI with Korean financial-market data. The announcement describes a planned collaboration; it does not establish that a public service is already available. LG AI Research’s announcement and KOSCOM’s announcement cover the agreement.
Investor service involving LSEG and Kiwoom Securities
In an April 14, 2026 announcement, LG said LG AI Research, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), and Kiwoom Securities were pursuing an explainable AI investment service for individual investors, including investment insights and wealth-management AI solutions. LG also said LG AI Research and LSEG had been selling AEFS scores and reports to global investors earlier in 2026. That reported sales activity is separate from the planned KOSCOM collaboration; the announcements do not establish public signup terms or pricing for either service.
