LG lists the 32GR93U-B as a 3840 × 2160 IPS display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms GtG response time. The 1 ms figure is LG’s advertised specification, not a claim that every transition will measure exactly that fast in independent testing. LG also advertises typical DCI-P3 coverage of 95% and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. These specifications describe the product; they do not guarantee strong black levels or dramatic HDR highlights.
How good is the 32GR93U for gaming?
Gaming responsiveness is its clearest strength. RTINGS reports fast response across the refresh range, low input lag, and support for common variable refresh rate (VRR) formats. Those traits help keep motion responsive and reduce tearing when frame rates vary.

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
LG lists HDMI 2.1, and RTINGS identifies the monitor’s bandwidth and VRR support as useful for current-generation consoles. Console output still depends on the console, game, settings, and connection; HDMI 2.1 does not mean every game will run at 4K and 144 frames per second.
Is HDR any good on the LG 32GR93U?
Expect HDR support, not a high-impact HDR experience. The DisplayHDR 400 label is a feature specification, while RTINGS reports low contrast, weak-looking highlights, and no local dimming. In darker scenes, blacks can look gray, and bright details may not stand out as they would on a display with stronger contrast and effective local dimming.

For SDR viewing, Expert Reviews measured 453 cd/m² brightness and 1,193:1 contrast on its review sample in 2024. Those are measurements from that sample, not guaranteed results for every unit. Expert Reviews also described its tested image as bright and colorful; LG’s separate 95% typical DCI-P3 figure is a manufacturer-stated coverage specification.

RTINGS notes sharp text and wide viewing angles, but also flags reflections and stand limitations. The height, tilt, and pivot adjustments give useful positioning options, while the lack of horizontal swivel means turning the screen left or right requires moving the whole stand or using a compatible VESA arm.

The feature set is less oriented toward a one-cable or multi-computer desk. RTINGS says the Gigabyte M32U adds USB-C, KVM, and stand swivel, while Expert Reviews describes the LG’s I/O as basic. Expert Reviews also lists no built-in speakers; the LG product page mentions a headphone output but does not advertise monitor speakers.
