The LG CordZero A9L-TOWER is most compelling if you want a cordless vacuum that charges, stores and empties itself at a dock—and have a suitable permanent spot for that dock. Its single included battery, eventual bag replacements and substantial tower footprint are the main trade-offs. LG’s specifications describe the features and claimed runtimes; Home Beautiful’s hands-on review reports a strong cleaning impression, with a caveat for lightweight rugs. There is no publicly accessible CHOICE model score to use as an independent performance verdict.
What comes with the Australian A9L-TOWER?
LG Australia lists the A9L-TOWER as a graphite cordless handstick vacuum supplied with an All-in-One Tower. The tower charges and stores the cleaner and transfers dust from the handheld bin into a dust bag. LG lists up to 220 W suction power, a Smart Inverter Motor, five-step filtration, an Axial Turbo Cyclone, KOMPRESSOR technology, a four-length telescopic pipe and a Dual Floor Max nozzle with LED lighting. LG says the A9L series is designed for sealed floor surfaces commonly found in Australian homes. The Dual Floor Max head is listed for carpet and hard floors; suitability for other tasks, such as upholstery, stairs or awkward gaps, depends on the accessories supplied with the exact model.
Does the A9L-TOWER empty itself?
Yes. When docked, the All-in-One Tower can automatically transfer dust from the vacuum’s bin into its 2.5 L bag. LG lists both Auto and Manual emptying modes and a replacement-cycle alarm. The vacuum’s bin is 0.4 L, or 1.0 L when compressed using KOMPRESSOR technology. Auto-emptying reduces how often you handle dust, but does not eliminate emptying or consumables: the tower bag will eventually need replacement.

How much space does the auto-empty tower need?
LG lists the tower at 1009 × 297 × 255 mm and 9.7 kg. That height and dedicated storage-and-charging location are worth checking against your available cupboard or wall space before buying. Home Beautiful reports that its reviewer found the tower difficult to accommodate in a cupboard. This is an attributed hands-on observation, not a measurement of every home’s fit.
How long does the LG CordZero A9L-TOWER battery last?
LG’s Australian specifications list maximum runtimes per battery below. The figures vary with power mode and whether a nozzle is attached; they are manufacturer claims, not independently measured results.

The Australian A9L-TOWER configuration includes one lithium-ion battery, rated at 2400 mAh and 25.9 V; LG lists a 240-minute charging time. The longest claimed runtime is in Eco without a nozzle, while Turbo is intended for brief, more demanding cleaning. A single included battery means you cannot simply swap to a second supplied pack to continue cleaning while the first charges.

LG lists the Dual Floor Max nozzle for both carpet and hard floors. In its hands-on review, Home Beautiful praised the head’s transition between those surfaces, the LED lighting and the cleaning impression in Turbo mode. The same review says Turbo pulled some thinner carpets into the roller. If you use lightweight rugs, try a lower power setting or check how the head behaves on them rather than assuming Turbo suits every carpet.

What does the public review evidence establish?
Home Beautiful gave the A9L-TOWER 9/10 in its editorial review of the model. That rating reflects that publication’s assessment, not a controlled test score. CHOICE’s public page lists a $999 price, a 2.86 kg weight, a 0.4 L measured dust collector, a four-hour claimed charge time, and supplied items including a powered brush head, combination tool, crevice tool, emptying dock/charger and extra bin bag. The page’s Expert Rating and detailed scores—including floor pickup, pet hair, carpet cleaning, noise and runtime—are member-restricted, so they cannot support a public model-performance verdict. Home Beautiful describes the A9L-MULTI as a dual-battery alternative without an auto-empty tower. Its article reported an RRP of $799 for the MULTI and $999 for the TOWER at the time of writing; these editorially reported prices may be stale and should not be treated as current offers.

What are the dimensions, weight and warranty?
LG lists the cleaner at 2.88 kg and 265 × 1120 × 305 mm, and the tower at 9.7 kg and 1009 × 297 × 255 mm. Its Australian product page specifies two years of parts and labour for the product, 12 months for the battery, and an additional eight years of parts warranty on the Smart Inverter Motor. Warranty terms can depend on the exact SKU and applicable conditions, so check them at purchase.

Who is the A9L-TOWER best suited to?
- Consider it if you value automatic dust transfer, charging and storage in one dock and have room to leave the tower in place.
- Think carefully if you have limited storage space, prefer not to buy replacement bags, or need a second battery included for longer cleaning sessions.
- Check your floor mix if you have thin or lightweight rugs, since Home Beautiful reports that Turbo could pull some into the roller.
- Verify the exact box contents before purchase: A9L-range accessories, battery counts and features vary by model.
