Start by confirming that your exact Lenovo Yoga configuration has a touch display. If it does, check whether Windows has disabled the touchscreen, then update or reinstall the driver using support for your specific model and Windows version. A screen that ignores touch, registers touches by itself, or is a non-touch configuration needs a different response.
First, confirm your Yoga has a touchscreen
“Yoga” identifies a product family, not a single display configuration. Before changing drivers or looking for replacement parts, find the full model or machine type and your Windows version. Check your model’s Lenovo specifications or user guide to confirm that its display supports touch.
In Windows, open Settings > System > About and look for Pen and Touch information. Lenovo says that the message “No pen or touch input is available for this display” indicates that the LCD does not support touch. The wording for a touch-capable display can vary, so verify against your model’s documentation if the result is unclear. A non-touch display is not a failed touchscreen. Lenovo’s Windows 10 and 11 guidance covers this check.

Make sure the touch device is enabled
- Right-click Start and open Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices and look for HID-compliant touch screen. If it is not visible, select View > Show hidden devices.
- If the device is present but disabled, right-click it and choose Enable device.
- Restart the computer and test the screen again.
If the device is absent, that does not by itself prove the panel is broken; Windows may not be detecting it. Continue with model-appropriate driver checks and diagnostics rather than installing a package intended for another Yoga.

Update, reinstall, or roll back the driver
In Device Manager, right-click HID-compliant touch screen and choose Update driver, then restart and test. If that does not help, Lenovo’s general guidance describes uninstalling the device and installing the touchscreen driver for the exact machine and operating system from Lenovo Support. If the issue began after a driver change, open the device’s Properties > Driver tab and use Roll Back Driver if that option is available. Driver names and package availability vary by model.
If the trouble started after a Windows update, check Device Manager for an unknown device or warning symbol, but identify your exact model before following any model-specific fix. Lenovo’s article about an unknown device after an update concerns the ThinkPad X1 Yoga 20FQ/20FR with Windows 10 64-bit; it does not establish a procedure for other Yoga models or current Windows versions. Read Lenovo’s X1 Yoga-specific guidance only if your machine matches those details.

If the screen registers touches by itself
Unintended input, often called ghost touch, is a different symptom from a screen that does not respond. As an early check, gently clean the display with a microfiber cloth and follow the device’s care instructions. Lenovo lists dirt as a possible contributor, but cleaning is not a guaranteed fix and does not establish that a panel or driver is healthy. Lenovo’s touchscreen guidance includes ghost-touch troubleshooting.
Firmware fixes for ghost touch are not universal. Lenovo’s article for the Yoga 3-1470 and Yoga 700 14ISK applies under specified conditions. For the Yoga 3-1470, the instructions require confirming an LG panel and restrict the firmware to that panel. Do not use that package on another model or panel type. Check the model and panel conditions in Lenovo’s article before considering it.

Lenovo also lists a touchscreen firmware update tool for the 13w Yoga Gen 2, machine types 82YR and 82YS, running Windows 11. The package release date is 5 August 2024; this date identifies the package, not a guarantee that it applies to another Yoga. See the 13w Yoga Gen 2 package details and confirm the machine type and operating system before installing it.

If the touchscreen remains unavailable after the applicable Windows and driver checks, run a Lenovo-supported hardware diagnostic if one is available for your model. Lenovo’s maintenance manual for selected Yoga models describes a Vantage hardware scan and UEFI diagnostics; possible UEFI tests include Touch and Display, but diagnostic availability varies by model. Consult the maintenance manual for the covered models.

If diagnostics are unavailable or the problem persists, contact Lenovo Support or a qualified repair provider. The exact model and configuration are needed to identify compatible replacement parts; do not order a generic digitizer or LCD assembly based only on the Yoga family name. Warranty coverage and repair options depend on your device, region, and warranty status.
