Choose LEGO set 72537 if you want recognizable KPop Demon Hunters characters, poseable play features and a display model in one box. Its $69.99 US list price (the LEGO Shop listing captured in 2026), 825 pieces and two-character format make it a different proposition from a wildlife rebuild set, a framed animal artwork or another licensed character. The best alternative depends on the decision you are making: Creator 3-in-1 Majestic Tiger (31129) for three animal builds, The Fauna Collection – Tiger (31217) for adult wall decor, or Pokémon Eevee (72151) for another licensed poseable figure.
What LEGO KPop Demon Hunters Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird 72537 includes
Set 72537 builds two characters from KPop Demon Hunters: Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird. LEGO’s US product page lists it at 825 pieces, for ages 9 and up, with a list price of $69.99 and an “Available now” status when the page was captured in 2026. Those are LEGO Shop US details, not a guarantee of today’s stock or the price in another country.
| Specification | Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird 72537 |
|---|---|
| Licensed property | KPop Demon Hunters |
| Models in the box | Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird |
| Pieces | 825 |
| Age guidance | 9+ |
| LEGO Shop US list price captured | $69.99 |
| Notable play features | Two Derpy expressions; movable head, legs and paws; hidden head compartment; rotating Sussie neck; poseable Sussie feet |
| Accessories listed by LEGO | Two love notes and a flowerpot |
| Stated assembled size | Over 21 cm high, 15 cm long and 15 cm wide when Sussie stands on Derpy’s head |
The set is intended to work as both a playable model and a display piece. Derpy’s head opens a concealed storage compartment, while the included notes and flowerpot give the characters a small scene rather than leaving them as purely static sculptures. Sussie can rotate her neck and pose her feet; Derpy’s head, legs and paws can move.

How 72537 differs from a conventional LEGO animal set
It is a character set first
A wildlife model asks you to appreciate an animal’s form. 72537 asks whether you want these specific fictional characters. The tiger and bird are tied to the licensed world of KPop Demon Hunters, and the love-note accessories reinforce that narrative. If you do not follow the property, much of the set’s appeal comes instead from the two-character arrangement, movable parts and unusual proportions.
It offers one main configuration, not a three-way rebuild
The documented product description presents Derpy and Sussie as the models to build. It does not advertise alternate animal instructions. That makes the set more predictable as a display purchase than a 3-in-1 box, but it also means you are buying one specific composition rather than a supply of officially supported alternate animals.
Its play value comes from articulation and interaction
Derpy has two expressions, a movable head, legs and paws, and a hidden compartment. Sussie’s neck rotates and her feet pose. The ability to change Derpy’s face and place a note on his tongue gives the model a small repeatable interaction. The listed features do not establish a particular range of motion, resistance or durability; those would require hands-on testing and are not claimed here.
The finished model needs vertical and horizontal room
With Sussie standing on Derpy’s head, LEGO gives dimensions of more than 21 cm high, 15 cm long and 15 cm wide. Measure a shelf before buying, especially if you plan to display the pair with the flowerpot or other nearby models. The dimensions describe the stated configuration; a different pose can change the clearance you need.
Side-by-side comparison with the documented alternatives
The table uses LEGO Shop US specifications captured for each product. Prices and stock are time-sensitive listings, not a survey of retailers or a promise that every set remains available.

Piece totals are not a quality or value score. They do not measure the licensed character value, the number of models you can rebuild, the physical size, the amount of articulation or the usefulness of the finished model as room decor. A lower piece count can still suit your purpose better if its format matches your space and interests.
72537 versus Creator 3-in-1 Majestic Tiger 31129
Choose 31129 for variety per box
LEGO describes 31129 as a 3-in-1 set with instructions for a tiger, red panda and koi fish. The tiger version also includes a brick-built red bird. That is the clearest documented contrast with 72537: one box supports three animal identities rather than one licensed pair. Rebuilding does mean taking apart a previous model, so it favors someone who enjoys changing the display or repeating builds over someone who wants to keep Derpy and Sussie assembled.

The Creator set has 755 pieces, 70 fewer than 72537, and the captured LEGO Shop US listing showed $49.99. The page was marked sold out at that time, so the figure should be treated as a historical product-page price rather than a current offer. No current marketplace stock or price is established here.
Choose 72537 for story and a two-character scene
72537 costs more on the captured US listings and provides fewer documented build identities, but it gives you two named characters, expression changes, a concealed compartment and love-note play. If the choice is between displaying a favorite fictional pair and rotating through wildlife builds, the deciding factor is the subject matter, not the 70-piece difference.
72537 versus The Fauna Collection – Tiger 31217
31217 is an adult display format
The Fauna Collection – Tiger is listed at 744 pieces and ages 18+. LEGO describes a tiger artwork framed by decorative flowers; the flowers move, and the finished piece can hang or stand. This is a flat, three-dimensional art treatment rather than a free-standing, poseable animal character. It is suited to a wall or a controlled display surface where a framed composition is more useful than a play figure.

The captured LEGO Shop US price was $64.99, and the page showed the set sold out. That makes it close to 72537’s $69.99 list price in the captured listings, but the two prices should not be interpreted as a live comparison because availability and retail pricing can change.

72537 is the better match when you want to move heads, legs, paws, necks or feet and change Derpy’s expression. 31217 is the more coherent choice for an adult who wants tiger imagery, decorative flowers and the option to hang the work. Neither format is a universal upgrade: one emphasizes character play, the other emphasizes artwork.
72537 versus Pokémon Eevee 72151
Both are licensed character displays
Eevee 72151 provides another route for a buyer who values licensed recognition over generic wildlife. LEGO lists 587 pieces, an 18+ age recommendation and a $59.99 US price on the captured page, which was shown as available. The figure has a movable head, ears, feet and legs, plus an articulating tail.
Compared with 72537, Eevee is a single character with fewer pieces and an adult-oriented age label. 72537 supplies two characters, more pieces, a hidden compartment and narrative accessories, while Eevee concentrates its identity in one game character and a set of articulated body parts.
Choose between two kinds of fandom
Pick Eevee if Pokémon collecting is the primary reason to buy and an adult display age rating suits the recipient. Pick 72537 if the KPop Demon Hunters connection, the Derpy-and-Sussie pairing or the love-note interaction matters more. The products are comparable as licensed character models, not as generic animal kits.

Age guidance and recipient fit
For builders aged 9 and over
LEGO lists 72537 for ages 9+. That guidance is the clearest signal among these options for a younger fan who wants to build and play with a licensed character set. It does not promise that every child will find the model easy, nor does it replace adult judgment about reading instructions, small parts and supervision.
For adult display collectors
Both 31217 and Eevee 72151 carry 18+ labels in the supplied LEGO listings. Those labels distinguish their intended audience from 72537’s 9+ guidance; they do not mean that an adult cannot enjoy 72537 or that a younger builder cannot admire the other models. Consider the recipient’s interest, available display space and willingness to rebuild or pose the model.
For a gift when the fandom is uncertain
A generic wildlife subject can be safer when you do not know the recipient’s media preferences, which is where 31129’s tiger, red panda and koi options help. A licensed set is more personal when you know the recipient follows KPop Demon Hunters or Pokémon. The character connection should be treated as a central purchase criterion, not an incidental graphic on the box.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Display, storage and play considerations
Display footprint
Allow at least the stated 21 cm-plus height and 15 × 15 cm footprint for the configuration in which Sussie stands on Derpy’s head. Leave extra clearance above and around the model if you intend to alter poses. A deep shelf is useful because the model is not described as a flat or wall-mounted artwork.
Keeping the small story elements together
Two love notes and a flowerpot are part of the listed accessory package. Derpy’s hidden head compartment can provide a place for a small element, but the product description does not specify its capacity or whether every accessory fits inside. Store loose accessories in a labeled container when the model is not on display.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Changing expressions and poses
Use the two documented Derpy expressions to change the character’s presentation, then adjust the head, legs and paws. Sussie’s rotating neck and poseable feet let you vary how the pair faces the room. Avoid claiming a pose is stable at every angle: LEGO’s listing establishes movement, not the performance of every possible configuration.
Price, availability and what the numbers do—and do not—tell you
The captured LEGO Shop US figures are useful for setting expectations: $69.99 for 72537, $49.99 for 31129, $64.99 for 31217 and $59.99 for Eevee 72151. The 72537 and Eevee pages were shown as available when captured; the 31129 and 31217 pages showed sold out. Because these are product-page snapshots, a retailer may charge a different amount, a later LEGO promotion may change the price, and another country will use different currency and pricing.
Comparing pieces per dollar would produce a misleading ranking. 72537’s 825 pieces include two character builds and their moving mechanisms; 31129’s 755 pieces support three alternate animals; 31217’s 744 pieces create a framed artwork; Eevee’s 587 pieces form one articulated figure. The cost of the feature you actually want—licensed identity, rebuild options, wall display or articulation—is more informative than dividing price by piece count.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhat to check before ordering
- Confirm the property. Decide whether the recipient specifically wants KPop Demon Hunters, Pokémon or an unlicensed wildlife subject.
- Check the age label. 72537 is 9+; 31217 and Eevee 72151 are 18+ in the listed LEGO specifications; the supplied facts do not state an age label for 31129.
- Measure the display location. For 72537, plan around the stated 21 cm-plus height and 15 cm length and width in the stacked configuration.
- Choose fixed display or rebuilding. Select 31129 if changing among three animal models is a major benefit; select 31217 if hanging or standing artwork is the goal.
- Verify live stock and price. Reopen the relevant LEGO page before checkout because the captured availability and prices can change.
- Plan for loose pieces. If the model will be moved or played with, keep the two love notes, flowerpot and any removed expression elements in a small labeled container.
How LEGO’s broader animal range fits this choice
LEGO’s US animal category includes many formats beyond the four sets compared here, including Cute Animals: Red Panda, Gray Wolf, Majestic Lion and Koala Habitat & Care Center. The category notes that LEGO has made animal sets since 1935. It is useful for discovering a subject that better matches a child’s favorite animal or a habitat-building interest, but it is not a stable price-and-stock table: the page combines different themes, sizes, ages and product types. Browse the LEGO animal category after deciding whether you want a character, a realistic animal, a habitat or a display artwork.
Verdict
Buy Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird 72537 when the licensed KPop Demon Hunters characters are the point of the purchase and you want two poseable models that can also sit on a shelf. Its 825-piece build, two expressions for Derpy, movable limbs, hidden head compartment, rotating Sussie neck, poseable feet and listed accessories support that character-focused brief.
Choose Creator 3-in-1 Majestic Tiger 31129 when three wildlife builds matter more than licensing; choose The Fauna Collection – Tiger 31217 when adult-oriented tiger artwork for a wall or stand is the goal; and choose Pokémon Eevee 72151 when a single licensed, poseable game character better matches the recipient. The right choice follows the intended use, age and fandom—not the largest piece count.
