What those specifications mean

The minimum list is the entry point for launching the Windows version, not a promise of a particular resolution or frame rate. Steam does not publish guaranteed FPS or resolution results for each listed GPU. A computer that matches the minimum processor and graphics card may need conservative graphics settings, especially at higher resolutions, but the published requirements alone cannot establish a performance target.

The recommended processor tier moves from the six-core-class Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 1600 to newer Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 5800X parts. That extra CPU headroom is relevant to an open-world game with streaming environments, traffic, combat effects and local split-screen or shared-screen activity. The recommended GPUs also provide considerably more graphics memory: 8 GB on the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER and Radeon RX 6650 XT, or 12 GB on the Arc B580, compared with 4 GB on the GTX 960 and RX 6400 minimum options.

Both tiers list 16 GB of RAM, so adding memory beyond 16 GB is not required by the published specification. It can still help a heavily multitasked Windows PC, but that is a general system consideration rather than a stated game requirement. Leave more than the exact 50 GB free when possible: operating-system updates, shader caches and patches can require temporary working room even though the listed installation requirement is 50 GB.

How to check a Windows PC before buying

Use this checklist to compare your computer with the published requirements without guessing from a model name alone.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - PlayStation Hits (PS4)
  • Robust roster of DC Comics heroes and villians - Play and unlock more than 150 characters with amazing powers and abilities, including members of the Justice League, and BIG LEGO Figures such as Cyborg, Solomon Grundy and more.
  • exciting space combat - For the first time ever, battle with Batman and his allies in outer space and the various Lantern worlds including Zamaron and Odym.
  • hack computer terminals - Enter a virtual world to escape mazes, battle in arenas, and race to find the code.
  • Bat-tastic Gadget wheel - With a simple press of a button, choose and upgrade select character's suits and abilities.
  • variety of iconic locales - Visit the Hall of Justice, the Batcave, and the Justice League Watchtower to access shops, trophy rooms, and the hero and vehicle customisers
  1. Confirm Windows. Open Windows Settings, choose System, then About, and verify that the edition is Windows 11 and the system type is 64-bit.
  2. Record the processor. In the same About page, note the exact Intel or AMD model. Compare the full model number with either the minimum or recommended CPU, rather than comparing only “Core i7” or “Ryzen 7” labels.
  3. Check installed memory. Settings > System > About shows installed RAM. The listing calls for 16 GB.
  4. Identify the graphics card and its memory. Open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc, select Performance, and choose GPU. Record the model and dedicated video memory, then compare it with one of the listed minimum or recommended GPUs.
  5. Measure free storage. In File Explorer, right-click the drive where you plan to install the game and choose Properties. Make sure at least 50 GB is available before starting the download.
  6. Choose the storefront. The PC release is available through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Buy from the storefront whose account, library and refund terms you intend to use; the system requirements are the same published PC baseline.

If your computer uses an integrated GPU or an older graphics card not named in the table, the listed requirements do not establish compatibility. Treat an unlisted part as unconfirmed rather than assuming that a similar-sounding model will perform the same way.

What kind of game is it?

This is a story-led, open-world action-adventure built by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Games. The campaign follows Bruce Wayne from his training with the League of Shadows to his emergence as Batman. The cast includes Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul, giving the story a broader Gotham ensemble than a single-character campaign.

Gotham’s open world

The city contains named locations including Arkham Asylum, Ace Chemicals, Gotham Botanical Gardens and Wayne Tower. These locations are presented as parts of one open-world setting rather than isolated levels. The premise allows exploration between story activities, while the exact amount of optional content and completion time depends on how much of the city a player chooses to investigate.

Combat, stealth and vehicles

Gameplay combines fluid-combo combat with stealth and gadget use. Batmobiles and Batcycles provide vehicle-based traversal, and the Batcave can be customized. Those systems explain why the PC listing emphasizes both CPU capability and a discrete graphics card: the requirements are intended for a modern 3D open-world presentation, not a lightweight 2D LEGO title.

Does it have co-op or require an internet connection?

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight supports solo play and two-player local couch co-op. Two people can play together on the same supported console or PC setup, subject to the controllers and display arrangement appropriate to that platform. Online co-op is not available, so there is no supported mode for joining a friend over the internet.

An internet connection is not required to play the installed game. Online access is needed for updates, so a first installation, patch download or future bug-fix update may still require connectivity. On the supported consoles, PlayStation Plus, Xbox Game Pass Core and Nintendo Switch Online are not required for the game’s local play. Those subscription statements apply to this title’s supported play modes; they do not change each platform holder’s requirements for unrelated online services.

Standard Edition versus Deluxe Edition

The Standard Edition contains the base game. The Deluxe Edition includes additional story and customization content grouped into two collections. Standard owners can purchase the Deluxe Edition Upgrade separately, allowing them to add the Deluxe content without buying the base game again.

Edition or purchase Included content Who should consider it

What the Legacy Collection adds

The Legacy Collection contains the Arkham Trilogy pack, Batman Beyond pack and Party Music pack. These are additional themed content packs rather than a replacement for the main campaign.

The Mayhem Collection includes a Joker and Harley Quinn story mission, Mayhem Mode and the Sinister Pack. If those specific characters, the extra mission or the alternate mode are important to your purchase decision, the Deluxe Edition or the separate upgrade is the relevant option.

Physical LEGO sets with in-game unlocks

Warner Bros. Games identifies four physical LEGO DC Batman sets that contain redeemable game content. The physical set is purchased separately from the game, and the value of each set depends on whether you want the build itself as well as its digital unlock.

Physical set Redeemable game content
LEGO DC Batman: Batman Logo Gold Batsuit
LEGO DC Batman: Batman v Superman Batmobile The film Batmobile and an exclusive gold variant
LEGO DC Batman: The Batman Batmobile The film Batmobile and an exclusive gold variant
LEGO DC Batman: Batman & Robin Batmobile The film Batmobile and an exclusive gold variant

The Batman Logo set is the clearest choice if your sole purpose is obtaining a named in-game item, because the publisher explicitly identifies its gold Batsuit unlock. Before ordering from Amazon or another retailer, verify the current listing, region, stock status, price and redemption instructions. Availability and pricing can change, and a listing should not be treated as confirmation that a code works in every country or with every edition until the regional terms are checked.

Which version is the best fit?

Choose PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S or Switch 2 when

  • You want a console installation without comparing PC components.
  • You plan to use the two-player local couch co-op mode.
  • You do not want to pay for a platform subscription for this game’s supported local play.

Choose the PC version when

  • Your computer meets at least the Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, 50 GB storage and graphics requirements listed above.
  • You prefer to buy through Steam or the Epic Games Store and adjust PC graphics settings yourself.
  • You have hardware closer to the recommended tier and want more headroom than the minimum specification provides.

Choose Standard or Deluxe when

  • Select Standard if the base campaign and open world are all you need.
  • Select Deluxe if you want the Legacy and Mayhem collections or value the announced May 19 early-access start.
  • Buy the Deluxe Upgrade later if you already own Standard and decide that the extra content justifies the additional purchase.

Purchase and installation checklist

  1. Confirm that your target platform is one of the four supported systems: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 or PC.
  2. Pick the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Upgrade based on the content you want, not on assumptions about graphics performance.
  3. For PC, verify Windows 11 64-bit, the processor, 16 GB RAM, the GPU model and 50 GB free storage before checkout.
  4. Decide whether you need local two-player play. If you need online co-op, this game is not a match because online co-op is unavailable.
  5. Plan for internet access when downloading the PC or console installation and later updates, even though an internet connection is not required for ordinary offline play after installation.
  6. If buying a physical LEGO tie-in, confirm the exact set, regional redemption terms and retailer stock before paying for it.

With those checks complete, the platform choice is straightforward: the game is a current-generation console and PC release, the PC baseline is clearly specified, and multiplayer is local rather than online.
