Leaked case images suggest Samsung could give the Galaxy S27 family two distinct looks: the Galaxy S27 and S27+ may keep a slim vertical camera module, while a rumored Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra may use a wider, raised rectangular camera plateau. The images are based on early phone dummies, not finished retail hardware, so every S27 specification and design detail remains unconfirmed until Samsung announces the phones.
What the leaked cases show
A case-listing report published by SammyGuru on October 2, 2026 describes four case designs believed to represent the Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. In that report, the standard S27 and S27+ retain a vertical rear-camera module. The alleged Pro and Ultra cases instead have a larger rectangular or raised camera housing that covers more of the upper rear panel.
Mohammed Khatri of SammyGuru wrote that, “Unlike the Pro and Ultra, the Galaxy S27 and S27+ stick to Samsung’s traditional design.” That would make the camera area the clearest visual divider between the mainstream models and the two higher-end phones.

Its report says the practical reason for the larger housing is not yet clear. The plateau could accommodate different lenses, sensors, stabilization hardware or internal packaging, but the case images do not establish which explanation is correct.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
SamMobile characterizes the Pro and Ultra design as reminiscent of Apple’s “camera plateau.” That is a description of the shape, not evidence that Samsung is copying a particular internal camera arrangement.

Could Samsung really launch a Galaxy S27 Pro?
The Pro is the most consequential part of the leak because Samsung’s established S-series naming does not by itself confirm a fourth model. SammyGuru’s report presents the S27 Pro as a possible smaller Ultra-like phone and says it may not include an S Pen. If accurate, Samsung would be positioning the Pro between the regular S27+ and the Ultra by emphasizing a compact body with some premium design cues rather than simply adding another size.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThere is no confirmed Pro specification sheet, launch-market list or statement from Samsung. The case label could reflect a supplier’s working name, an internal prototype or a model that never reaches stores. Treat the Pro as a credible rumor, not a product announcement.

What is known about size—and what is not
Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report confirms the predecessor baseline: the Galaxy S26 has a 6.3-inch display, the S26+ has a 6.7-inch display and the S26 Ultra has a 6.9-inch display. That report does not confirm any Galaxy S27 specification.
Those S26 figures provide context for Samsung’s recent size tiers, but they should not be used as S27 measurements. The leaked cases do not provide reliable dimensions, display sizes or thicknesses. A case can also exaggerate a camera bump or leave clearance around buttons and lenses, so apparent proportions are not a substitute for engineering drawings.

Will the Galaxy S27 camera design change?
Possibly, but the evidence points to a split rather than one family-wide redesign. The base S27 and S27+ are reported to preserve a vertical module, while the Pro and Ultra adopt the raised rectangular plateau. That would let Samsung create a visibly more expensive rear design for its top models without abandoning the existing look on the less expensive phones.
The larger housing does not automatically mean better image quality. Camera performance depends on sensor size, lens design, stabilization, image processing and software, none of which the case leaks reveal. SamMobile’s report that 5x optical zoom may remain exclusive to the Ultra is an expectation, not a confirmed specification.

Are the Galaxy S27 case leaks reliable?
They are useful for identifying broad external shapes, but they are weak evidence for final dimensions and features. Case manufacturers often build products around early dummy units so they can prepare inventory before launch. SammyGuru explicitly warns that final bodies and fine details can still change. Mohammed Khatri described the renders as a fair indication of the overall design but said, “you shouldn’t treat them as final.”
Small changes can affect camera cutouts, button placement, antenna lines, thickness and compatibility. A case that fits a prototype may not fit the retail phone, and a supplier’s model name may not match Samsung’s final branding.
When could Samsung announce the Galaxy S27?
SamMobile expects a reveal in January or February 2027, based on Samsung’s usual Galaxy S launch pattern. That is a schedule expectation, not an announced date. Samsung has not confirmed a launch event, regional availability, pricing or preorder timing for the S27 series.

Until an official announcement, buyers should avoid purchasing cases advertised as guaranteed S27 fits. Retail stock, exact compatibility and final model names cannot be verified from these early images.
What to watch for next
- Samsung’s official model list, which would confirm whether the S27 Pro exists.
- Official dimensions and display sizes, rather than measurements inferred from cases.
- Camera specifications that explain whether the Pro and Ultra plateau houses additional hardware.
- Confirmation of S Pen support and whether the Pro is intended as a smaller alternative to the Ultra.
- Any statement about 5x optical zoom on models other than the Ultra.
- Release-date, market and accessory information from Samsung before ordering a case.
For now, the strongest conclusion is visual: leaked cases indicate that Samsung may separate the S27 and S27+ from the Pro and Ultra with two camera-housing designs. The shape is plausible, but the phones’ final bodies, specifications and lineup remain unconfirmed.
