The Kuvings SV-500MB is a 1,500 W high-performance blender with a vacuum system intended to remove air from the jug before blending. Kuvings says this helps reduce oxidation, foam, and separation, but those benefits are manufacturer claims—not independently established results in the public evidence available here. CHOICE publishes specifications for the SV-500MB, while keeping its expert rating and task scores behind member access. That means there is not enough public test data to call it a proven performer or declare whether it is worth its listed price.
What the public review does—and does not—establish
CHOICE has a page specifically for the Kuvings Vacuum Blender SV-500MB and describes it as a “High performance blender.” Its public page lists specifications, but the expert rating, performance and ease-of-use scores, and food-task results are member-only. The existence of a review page is not evidence of a positive or negative test result.
CHOICE lists a 1.2 L jug, 79 dB noise level, 1,500 W power, and a 4.5 kg blender weight, along with ten speeds and dimensions of 45 × 21 × 25 cm. Its page displayed a price of A$999 when accessed; treat that as a listed value, not a guaranteed current offer. The public material names Kim Gilmour as a Senior project officer and describes her involvement in product tests, but does not publicly attribute an individual SV-500MB test to her.

What vacuum blending is intended to do
The vacuum system is designed to remove air from the jug before blending. Kuvings Australia says: “Unlike traditional blending, the SV500 removes excess air from the jug before blending, helping reduce oxidation and create smoother textures, fresher flavours and brighter colours.” The company also markets reduced foam and separation. These are Kuvings’ product claims, not independent findings.

The manufacturer’s Australian product page describes the blender for smoothies, plant-based milks, soups, sauces, dips, and desserts. Kuvings’ global page describes vacuum, auto, and auto-blend presets, a variable speed dial from 2,000 to 20,000 RPM, BPA-free Tritan, and a stated maximum of 32,000 RPM. These figures and functions are manufacturer descriptions; they do not substitute for comparative task testing.
The public sources reviewed do not establish that vacuum blending gives the SV-500MB a nutritional advantage over conventional blending. If freshness, texture, or reduced separation is the main reason to pay extra, look for independent, comparable testing rather than relying on the manufacturer’s claims alone.

SV-500MB specifications and regional variants
Published figures differ by source and variant, so do not combine them into a single definitive specification. The SV-500MB-family manual and Kuvings Australia’s SV-500M listing both describe 220–240 V models, while the US SV500S is a separate 120 V variant.

The differences are material: CHOICE lists 4.5 kg, whereas the manual and Australian SV-500M listing give 6.2 kg; capacity is listed as 1.2 L, 1,200 ml, or 1,300 ml depending on source. The SV500S is not an electrical substitute for an MB-family unit. Before buying, match the full model suffix and rating plate to your local mains supply, and confirm included parts and warranty terms with the seller. Prices and stock can change.

Is the Kuvings SV-500MB worth considering?
It may suit a buyer specifically interested in a vacuum-blending feature and a high-power countertop blender, but public evidence does not establish that it outperforms conventional alternatives on blending tasks or that its marketed freshness benefits justify a premium. With the principal independent test results gated, a confident value verdict is not possible from the accessible review alone.
Before choosing it, compare the details that can affect everyday use: independently published results for your typical ingredients, noise, usable jug capacity, counter footprint and weight, cleaning effort, warranty, included accessories, electrical compatibility, and total local purchase price. For the SV-500MB in particular, verify the model suffix and voltage rather than relying on a listing that simply says “SV500.”
